Board met in special session at 10:00 A. M. All members present.

Trost Jr, , member of the Board of Public Safety was present
and submitted two proposals for work to be done on building in rear of dater Works
building so that same may be used for. storing police cars. Proposals are as follows:

Gentlemen:
City Hall: e propose to do the following work in the City Garage adjacent to
1. Cut by ening in north wall of present garage and through south
wall of adjoining building; d)nstalliijg necessary steel lintels and steep jamb protection
opening to be same size a s present door to garage (approximately 1013"x 9' ).
2. Install new ,sash and Mass in five small window ope#ings, west side
of new building.
3e Board up opening in second floor of new building, east side.

at rear of water works property, install proper lintles, patch fleor 'at opening, and
repair windows in north building for the sum of $92. 00 .

The Board, after careful consideration, decides to award the contract
for the work as above outlined to the Hay -'heaver �o. , at their price of $92.00, same
to be paid out of City Ha-rll Appmpriation NO.H-14A for the :repair of Building. Accordin
to Mr. Trost, this will effect a saving in the Board of Safety llepartment of apiroximate
ly $50,00 a month.
In Complian ce with Ordinan ce No.29.841- of;r; e Qomnon Council, t he
Board, hereby, appoints Guy D. Staples as 6treet commissioner, and fixes his, salary
at $32230.00. The Board further declares the o ffice o f Deputy Street Commissioner
vacant, th ich is in compliance with the same ordinance number of the Common 'eounc il.
Clerk of the Bon rd instructed to order 0. D. Kise, Cemetery Sexton,,.,
to comply with the Council Resolution e llminati n , Office Clerk and 3 laborers in the
C'eimetery DepartmEnt, sane to be effective as of une lst. , 1932.
