Board met in special session at 1.0:00 A. M. Mr. 'Mo E. Doran absent..
Minutes of meetings held April 26th.., and May 3rd., 1932, read and approved.
This being the date set, bids were received opened and read for the
repair of the parapet walls on the Central Fire Station. Bids are as follcors:

Bids having been received for the repair of the parapet walls of the

that the claim asserted in the name of the City of South Bend was filed with former
Liquidator, h. U. Bailey of the Marquette fat ional Fi ze Insurance company under date
of Janus ry 17th . , 19281 by Hazel A. Turner, Clerk cf the Board of Public Works, South .
Bend , Indiana.
The proof of claim sets forth Oat the claim consists of two .
items - one being the blgrquette s pr oporti on of a loss sustained February 26th. , 1927
can the City Hall in the amount of $2.39, and the remaining part consists of a claim
of unearned premium under policy No.128259 of the Yarque tte National Fire Insurance j
Company which policy was issued in the name of the City of South Bend, Indiana, in •
the ampunt of $20,000.00 for a term of three ,years commencing March 21, 1926, covering
various properties written under a gener?l form owned by the City of youth Bend,
Tuesday, Ma y 10 th.. , 1932.

The board ordered the Clerk to deposit said check #5348A written
on the First National Bank of Chicago, Illinois," dated lurch 29th. , 1932, and numbered
claim nuitber6520, with other receipts in the Generel Fund. Said check is given in the
sum of p13.20.
-The Board approved claims for variow departments in the sum of
49,881 87.
