repair of the parapet walls on the Central Fire Station. Bids are as follows:

The Board approved a drive way plan f or a Filling Ste tio-n lo-
cated at the north wrest corner of Prairie Avenue and Garst Street owned by the Refin
Oil and Contributing Corporation.

Dear Sir:
In response to ,your inquery of the 4th. , ii.st. , you are advised
that the claim asserted in the name of the City of South Bend was filed with former
Liquidator, h. U. Dailey of the Marquette Pat ional Fi ie Insurance Company under date
of January 17th. , 1928, by Hazel A. Turner, Clerk of the Board of Public Works, South
Bend , Indiana.
The proof of claim sets forth Aftat the claim consists of two
items - one being the h=arquette s oporti on of a loss sustained February 26th. , 1927
on the City Hall in the a -mount ofpr2.39, and the remaining part consists of a claim
of unearned premium under policy No.128259 of the I'larque tte National File Insurance
Company which policy was issued in the name of the City of south Berd, Indiana, in
the ampu:nt of $20,000.00 for a term of three years comme neing March 21, 1926, covering
various properties written under a general form owned by the City of youth Beal,
