Resolved by the zoara of rublic Works of the City of South Dend, Indiana,
That it is desirable to vacs to the following:
The alley mouth oY Lot 159 in xaley's Second Subdivision from the west
line of Dendix drive to the east line of the vacated alley west of bendix lirive,,
be following property may be injuri ousiy or ce neficially affected by such
vacation:
Lot 159 in Aaley`s Second Subdivision. Also that part of the right of way
of the New xor k Uen tral Railroad t:ompany lying between the west line of Sendix Lirve
end the east line produced south of the vacated alley west of Dendix give.
Botice of this resolution shall be published on the 9th., day of Uctober'and
on the ltbth . , day of October 1931 in the bout n -wend tribune and mirror.

This being the date set, neeying was had on tale assessment roll for the
pavement of Washington Street from Olive Street to Dendix liriw under :Improvement
Resolution 1xo.2451.
In the above -named assessment roll, xr. A. Goldberg was present remonstrat-

ing against his assessment for said improvement but no written remonstrances were
filed. After hearing, all persons Interested in said assessment roll sad -being fully ad-
vised In the premises, the board finds that the several lots and parcels of land have
been benefited in the amounts shown on said roll. The board, therefore, decides to
take final action on said assessment roll and declares some in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. 1"he board now
orders said assessment roll delivered to the uepartment of :finance.
This being the date set, continued hearingwas had on tie assessment roll showing
the awards of damages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the opening of wash -

In the above named assessment roll, Attorney U. u. Fattee was present representin,
-mrne st and (,.bl. Brothers. after hearing, all persons interested in said assessment roll
and being fully advised in the premises the hoard decides to modify said roll as follows
Increase the amount of damages awarded to Lot 124 Uak Cirove Addition *175.51
making a total amount of damages awarded cpl.1 8b*46 instead of vl,010.95. Leave net
11 benefits 0136.46.

increase the mount of benefits to Lot 113 oak Cirove Addition o175o51, making
a total amount of benefits assessed against said lot V302.74.
wfitn the above modifications, the board finds that the several lots and parcels
of land have been benefited and dmaged in the amounts shown on said modified roll. The
board, therefore. decides to taLce mina I action on said roll and declares same in all
things ratified, confirmed and approved as modified and the proceedings closed and all
previous action taken by said board with reference to said condemnation resolution

In the above named assessment roll,the board, hereby, orders that on the 20th.,
day of UctoCie r 1931, this board will mebt in their office in the uity hall at 10;00 A,M,
to hear and receive remonstrances f ran all persons 'whose property has been assessed for
said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been
or will be benefited in the amounts shorn on said roll. The Board further orders that
not i ce s of said hearing shall be published on the 9tht loth., and 16th.9 days of October
1931, in the South -bend Tribune and Mirror according to law.
This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the construction
of the local se,%er in Hamilton Street under Imp:rovement Resolution 'No*2458. Bids are

on Bend ix Drive from Drums tar n Avenue to Lincoln Way West under imp xovenent Resolution
No,2457. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of $6,588,10,
Claims for various departmEnts amounting to 014,342909 were signed and approved by
to board.
Pay roll ed-Lat for various departments mounting to V3,131,,87 were signed and
approved by the board.
