Minutes of meeting held September 22nd., I931, read and approved.
City Engineer, H. G. gray filed plans and the n'oard adopted said plans
together vita the following Vacation Resolutions:

Rush Street at Sample Street, that portion within the Rew York Central
Railron d right of way.

In all of the above named vacation resolutions, the Board hereby orders
that on the 20th., day of October I931. this Bowd will meet in their cEfice in the City
j,Hall at 10:00 A. M., to hear aW receive remonstrances from all persons interested in
;or affected by such vacations. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings
be published on the 3rd., day of October and on the 9th.9 day of October I93I, in the
South Bend Tribune and Mirror according to law.
City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted said plans
together with the following improvement Resolution:
Improverent Resolution rio.2462 for the pavement of the west one half of
Ithe alley west of Cottage Grove Avenue from Lindsey Street to a point one hundred (I00' )

In the above named assessment roll,, the Board hereby orders that on the 6th.
day of October 19311 this board will meet in their office in 1he City hall at 10:00
A. m. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assess
ed for seid Improvement and will decide vnether the benefits to the several lots and
parcels of land will be equal to the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater or less
,sum than that shoves on said roll, The Board further orders that notices be wiled to

"The board now orders said assessment :roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the grade,
curb and walk improvement on Washington Street from Olive Street to bendix Drive under
Improvement Resolution ho.2448.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written re-

monstrances were filed and the Board. being filly advised in the premises,, finds that
the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said
droll. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said roll and declares sane in all
things rati-ied, confirmed and appmved without modification and the proceedings closed*

This being the date set,, hearing was had on the assessment roll showing the awards
damages and assessments of benefits in the natter of the condemnation of Washington
,eet. at olive Street under Condennati on resolution No.2454*
In the above named assessment roll, remonstratcrs appeared and a written remon-
strance was filed -by Ernest and Urace brothers, owners of lot 124 Oak Grove Addition.
After nearing all persons interested in said roll, the board decides to continue hear-
ing until Tuesday, October 6tn. 9 1931, at 10-30 A. M.
City Ohgineer H. G. wray, filed the tabulations of bids for the Iowa Street sewer
under lmprovement Aesolution No.2457. Tabulations as follows:

Bids having been received for the local sewer improvement in Iowa Street under
Improvement resolution No.24517, the board, tnis 29th,,, day of September 1931, hereby
awards .tYee contract to A. Simeri at his low bid of $1,558,bO for vitrified pipe.
Claims amounting to $299*81 for various departments were signed and approved by
the Boa rd.
