Lippman, through her attorney, Samuel Pettingill the board authorized the construction of a mer6Tbandise chute with opening through the side walk at the property located at 208 N. fain Otreet. This merchandise chute is necessary in order that access may be made to the basement of said property. City Lngineer, n• G. ir'ay, submitted partial estimate ilo.4 for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Washington street from the center line of Olive Street to the west line of Bendix Drive, in accordance with the terms of the contract bet, een the City and The LaSalle Construction Company, contra.etors, under Improvement resolution iv o. 2448 . The board signed and approved same in the amount of $385.01. City An.gineer, ii. G. Wray, filed the `inal estimate for the Frade,curb. and walk improvement . on Washington Street under Improvement resolution No.2448. The board signed and approved same in the amount of'7,I03.71. This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation hesolution f11o.2459 for the vacation of the first alley north of Bartlett Street from IVichigan Street to 1st. , alley East of Idichig;m Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) In the above named vacation resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the board, being fully advised in the premises, decides to take final action on said vace tion resolution and. de cleres same in a 11 things ratified, confirmed and approved.
