ment the Board authorized hazel A. Turner, Clerk of the Board of Public �'vorks, to issue
a check in the amountof Y?76.20, made pay%` ble to D. J.. Campbell, County Treasurer and
to deposit same with said County Treasurer for the Air Port Fund , and thereby, close

the Air Port revolving Fund account at the Citizens National Bank, South bend, Indiana.

In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Clerk of the Board submitted
-roof of service of notices as heretofore ordered and sam were found sufficient. No
remonstrators appeared and no ,TT tt-n remonstrances were filed and the .Board, being
fully advised. in the premises, finds that the sever-1 lots and parcels of land have been
benefited dnd damaged in the amounts shown on said rolls. The Board , therefore, decides
to take final action on said assessment rolls and declares same in all things ratified,
confirmed and. approved and the streets and alleys vacated and ell proceedings had

with reference to said vacations are hereby sustained and the proceedings closed.

This,' being the date set, continued hearing was had. on the assessment roll show-
ing the awards of damages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the vacation of

A petition was tiled with the Board for the opening cf Western Avenue from
Michigan 6treet to Lincoln Way Bast and for the construction of grade, curb, walk,
sewer and pavement and boulevard lights on said street.
Claims amounting to $2,957.89 for various departments were signed and approved
by the Board.
Bay roll claims for various departments were signed and approved by the Board
in the amount of �8,253,63,

City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the final estimate for the pavement of the
alley west of M.in Street from Washington Avenue to Ist., alley south of Was'�ington
Avenue and er Improve -Trent Resolution No.24I0.. The Board signed and a-womved same in
the amount of 0778.9I.
City Engineer, H. G. Wray4 submitted Partial estimate No.I for the grade
curb and walk improvement on Bendix Drive from Crumstown Avenue to Lincoln Way West
under Improvement Resolution No.2408. The Board signed and approved same in the .amount
of ?I,5I4.87.
City Engineer,. H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for t hB pavement
of the alley vest of Main Street from Washington Street to the first alley south of
Washington Street fftnder Improvement Resolution No.24I0.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board, hereby, orders that on the 26th
day of May I93I, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hal1 at I0:00 A. M.
to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said
proceedings and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been 'or
will be benefited in the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater or less sum than
that shorn on said roll. The Board furtherorders t 1at notices be mailed to property
onwers according to law.

Board adopted said plans and specifications tof-ether with the following improlvement
res&lution No.2437:

ten (I0' ) feet north of the center line of Crums town Avenue to the southerly line of
Lincoln Way West. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named improvement resolution, the Board, hereby, orders that on
the 9th., day of June I93I, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at
I0:00 A. M-1., to hear and receive remo#ztrmces from all persons interested in or affect
ed by said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and
parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement, will be equal to the esti-
mated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders' that
notices of said hearing lie published in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror on the 22nd.
