Minutes of ' meeting held January MO., I93I, read- and approved. The "oard approved the following renewal certificptos: Renewal certificate for excavation bond in favor of Emmit t Shaul in the � amount of $000.00 signed by Metropolitan Casualty. Insurance Company of hew York. l Renewal?. rertifica to for excavation bond in favor of Arthur Deppe rt in the amount of $I,000.00 signed by Maryland Cesualty Company. i Renewal certificate for excavation bond in favor of Mitchell Kahn in the amount of QI, 000.00 si pned. by hetropolit an Casualty Company of New York. The Board approved the Gyarantee Bond of S. U. Ackerman for the loca 1 seke in Walnut Street from Prairie Avenue to King Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2400, in the amount of 074.44 signed by United States Fidelity and Gurranty Company of Bal t i.more, City Engineer, H- G. Wray, submitted a redistribution of assessments for the grade, curb and walk improvement on the west side of Portage Avenue for certain , property belonging to South Lund Glass +corks, Levi P� . and Mary Truax, Roger R..Fenska, Daniel Schurtz and Harry Polis. The -hoard signed and approved same and ordered said redistribution delivered to the Department of Finance. City Engineer, N. G. stray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement resolution: Impro vement Reso lut ion "o.24I7 for the gradi ng o f Flme r Street f rom south line of lot 20 thitcomb and Keller's Addition to Frederickson Street. (See files for copy cf resolution.) In the above rained improvement resolution, the Board, hereby, orders that on the IOth. , day of February, I93I, this Board will meet in their office in .the City Hall at I0:00 A. M., to hear Pnd receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be assessed for said imnlovem_ent and will decide 1whetbor`tihesbonefItgoto the several lots abdparcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal tothe estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing be publi Yked in the South Bend Tribune and Tvirror on the 23rd. , day of janua-ry and on the 30h., day of January I93I according to lay-: and that notices be mailed to proporty owners according to law. This being the date set, hearing was on the assessment roll for the grading of Longley Avenue from Olive Street to Huey Street under Improvement Resolution 1o.2364.. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written temonstrance was file& and the Board, being fb.11y advised in the premises, f Inds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, takes finale ction on said assessment roll and declares sam, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the local serer in Bend -ix Drive from. Crumstown Avenue to Lincoln Way West under Improvement Resolution No.2407. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and. the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the am-ounts shown on said roll. `i-'he Board, therefore, takes final action on sa id assessment roll and declares same in all things rati ied, conf firmed and approved without mod ificetion ant the pro- ceedings closed. Fre der ickson Street under Improvement resolution No.2363. in the above named assessment roll, no remonstre tors appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board,being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roil and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed.
