Board met in re polar session at 9. A. Y. All members present. Llinutes
of meetings held October `nth., and October 8th., 1930, mad and approved
City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the following primary assessment rolls
Assessment roll for the pavement of the alley south of Fox Street from
High Street to Ist., alley east of high Street under Improvement Resolution No.2385,
Assessment roll for the pavement of the alley, east of Scott `'treet
,St. , alley North of ayne street and the 2nd. , alley east of scot t Street, under Improv,
ment -Resolution No.2384.
Assessm en t roll for the pa. vement of 29th. , Street from dish awake. Avenue
to G. T. R. R. , under Improvement Resolution N0.2383.
In all of the above named. assessmnt rolls, the Board, hereby, orders
that on the 29th., day of October 1930, this Board will meet in thedit office in the Oity
Hall at 7-I5 P; M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
has been assessed for said improve rents-, and will decide whether the several lots and
parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said assessment
rolls. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in
the South Bend Iribune and News Times on the I7th., day of October, on the ISth., day
of October and on the 24t1a., day of October I930, according to law and that notices be
mail to property owners whereever possible.
City engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for the
yacati on of the alley west of Kill otreet that lies west of a line running from the S.E.
corner of Lot 20 in llinans 2nd., Addition, to the S. E. corner of Lot 13 in 1)inans 2nd.
Addition under TIzeatiion-, .F resolution No.236I.
In the above named assessmment roll, the Board., hereby orders that on
the 28th., day of October 1930, this Board will medit in their office in the City Hall at
I0:00 A. LT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been
benefited or damaged by said. vacation. The Board further orders that notices of said
hearing together rich tie amounts of damages awarded and benefits assessed, be delivered
to property avne rs according to law.
The board approved the folloving Guarantee Bonds:

Guarantee Bond of Gross Construction Company for the

Iptreet under Improvement hesolution N0.2342 in the amount of $497.57 signed by National
Surety Ccm-pa .nv.
Guarantee Bond of the Gross Construction Company for the pavement on
Kerslake oourt under Improvement 11esoluti on No.2366 in the amount of 0225.24 signed by
rational Surety Company.
This being the date set, he: --ring was had on Impmvemnt Pesolution No.
400 for the local eewf�r in Xalnut Street from Prairie Avenue to Ewing Avenue. (See file
for copy of :re solution. )
In the above named improvement resolution no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstr^aces were filed and the Boa rd, being fully advised in the premises,
finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land li2ble to be assessed fo:
sair improvement will be equ--1 to the estimated cost of same and that the improvement is
necessary. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said improvement resolution
�NO.2400 and declares same in all things ratified., confirmed and approved without modifi-
11 cation. The Board, now orders that on the 26th.91 day of October, I930, this Board will
receive , open and read selaed proposal s f or the cons truct ion of sa i d improvement up to
I0:00 A. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published
in the South Bend Tribune and A. irror on the I7 th . , day of October and on the 24th . , day
of October I930, according to law.
This be ing the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the
pavement of the alley north of Colfax Avenue from Twyckenham brive to Esther 6treet under
Immprovement Resolution No.2397. Bids are as fbllcws:

Psy roll claims in the amount of A,.7,221.50 for various departments
were signed and, approved by the Board.
Claims for various departments in the amount of 57,05I.85 were
signed and approved by the Board.
The Board approved the erection of a canopy awning over the en-
trance to the Floffida Amusement Association at 106 West Monroe Street as -oeticbned for
by R. C. Turk of the South Bend Awnings Company.
Meeting adjourned at 12o'clock noon.
