In the above named assessment roll, Bernard. Neitzel appeared remonstrat-
ing against his assessment for zaid improvement. A report from R. L. Like, assistant
Engineer, sly, owing the alley in excellent condition, was filed with the Board. After
hearing all persons interested in said improvement and. being fully advised in the nremis
es, theBoard decides to take final action on said assessment roll, and finds that the
seteral lots and parcels of land_ have been benefited in the amounts shun on said assess
ment roll, and therefore the Board declares samd assessment roll in all thins ratified
confirmed and approved without modification and tlB proceedings closed. Tlie Board now
orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
The Board signed the contre et for the construction*

on South Side of Indiana Avenue from Brookfield. Street to Olivereet under Imcroveme
Resolution Nlo.2376, in the amount of 9"872.40. The Board also approved the eons+ruction
bond. of same in the amount of I00% of the contract price signed by the United States
Fidelity and Guaranty Co., of Baltimore.
The Board. signed the contract with 0. L. Davis fbr the grading of Johnson
Street from south line of Pershing Street -.to Wilson Street under Improvement Resolution
No.2377 in the amount of 6I9.36. The Board also approved the construction bond of
same f or 50% of the contra ct price sign d. by B'ietropolitan Casualty Insurance Co.
The Board approved the Excavation Bond of Samuel Elt.tsky in the amount of
�I,000.00 signed by the Ohio Castr.lty Insurance Comx.ny of Hamilton.
The Board approved a claim bf E. T. Tranberg in the amount of $244.00.
The Board approved pay roll claims for various departments in the amount
of $U,I63.32.,
This being the date set, proposals for a filling station to be located on
The Mlilnicipal, Ps'rking Ground were receive!, opened and placed on file.

The Board approved the continuation certificate for the Excavation Bond of
Sam L,,,vy in the. amount of AI,000.00 signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co
Bids having been received for the grade, curb and walk impro vement on the
north. si de of IIishawakp 'venue from Lonpfellav Avenue to east 1 i ne of Lot I0I5 in
Sunnyme�e 4th., Addition undo---r Improvement Resolution No.2378, the Board this I9th.,
day of August I930, hereby awards the contra ct for said improve?rent to 'Uhitcomb and
Feller at their bid of A?2,686.90.

than that specified in the preliminary order for the _pave.mnt of Swygart Street from
Indiana. Avenue to I`lew Jersey, Indiana and Illinoil R. R. under Improvement Resolution
No.2330, the Board this I9th., day of August 1930, hereby, makes a final order for sheet
asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the
contract for slid improvement to Albert Construction Company at their bid of `?5,041175,
This being the date sett continued hearing was had on the assesment roll
for the opening° of Nancy Street under Condemnation Resolution No.2331. In the above
named assessment roll, the Board decides to continue he-Aring until Tuesday, August 26th
19 30 , at I0 : 00 A. M . � �.-
City Engineer, I -TT. G. Wray, submitted the follatr ing report on tkr- remon-
strance filed against the pavement on 29th., Street under Improvement Resolution NO.2383
There ore 40 resident property owners, 15 of whom have signed the r emon-
strence. This does not constitute a majority of property owners and the Board, therefor
sustains all former action taken on said imrorovemeat.t resolution.

In the Tatter of Improvement Resolution No.2383 for the pavement of 29 th. , St.,,
from 1,1ishawaka Avenue to Grand Trunk Western R. R. , fbm Boards. hereby;: orders that on
the 2nd. , day of September 1930, this Board will receiver open and read sealed proposals
for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A, IT'. The Board further orders
that notices of said proposals shall be published on the 22nd. , day of August and on
the 29 th . , day of August 1930, in the South Bend. Tribune and Mirror, according to 1 aw .
The Board approved the following Final Estimates:
Final Estimate for the seer r in Swyea.rt Street from Prairie Avenue to Ewing Avenu
under Improvement Resolution No.2360 in the amount of p2,2060'32.
Final Estimate for the local sewer improvement in Louise Street from Mishawaka
Avenue to Ist ., alley south under Improvement Resolution No.2382 in the amount of 747.14
The Board approved the plans for the foll(xTing improvements in Studebaker 4th.,
and 5th. , Additions and an unplatted addition adjoining:
East -�; of lellowsing Street from Eckman Street to Donmoyer Avenue.
North 1 &f Donmoyer A nue from Fellows Street to the east line of Studebaker
Place 5th. , Addition.
East ' 1 of said. Fellows Street from the north 1 of said Donmoyer Avenue thall be
graded and cement curb and cement walk shall be constructed on the north side of said
Donnoyer Avenue and on the East side of Fellows Street.

Erskine Blvd. , from Eckim-n Street to Donmoyer Avenue.
In oonnecti on with the above named improvements, the Board granted the owners the
pr ivile ge of doing this work under private c ont ra ct end under the supervision of Engin-
eer 419m. S. T4loore.' The c ontra ct for paving given to Albert Construction Company and the
contract for grade, curb and walk given to E. T. Tranber�-.
The Boardordered the cancellation of the bond of Eston Ball as requested by the
Employers Liability Assurance Corporation of Boston, Mass.
