I the Board signed the contract with A. Spadoni for the local sewer in
improvement in Melkus Court under Improvement peso lut ion No.2 372 in the amount of
421.50. The -board also approved the construction bori3 of same in the amount of I00%
of the contract price signed by the Great American Ind emnity Co.

ment resolutions:
Improveimnt resolution No.2380 for the pavement of Swygp.rt Street
from Irf iana Avenue to the New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Railroad. (See fi les for

ment on the north side of 11ishawaka Avenue from Longfellow Avenue to the east line of
lot IOIS in Sunnymede 4th. , addition. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In both of the above named impro vem ant resolutions,, no remonstrators
appeared and no writtEn remonstrances were filed and the Board, being: fully advised in
the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to
be assessed fcr said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as repo
ed by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore decides to take final action on said
improvement resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and appno#
without modification.

In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby

opened and read up to A. M., on the 5th., day of August 1930. The Board further
orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the 25th., day of July and
on the Ist. , day of August I930, in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror, according to law

In the above named improvement resolution, remossntrat ors appeared and
a written remonstrance was filed . Property owners were also present asking the Board
that said improvement be made. After hearing all persons interested in said imp rove men'
and being fully advised in the premises, the Board, finds that the benefits to the sev-
eral lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for saidimprovement will be equal
i� to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore,
decides to over rule said remonstrance, and declares said resolution in all thingp
ratified, nonfirmed and approved. The Board nai orders taaid written remonstrance
delivered to the City Engineer for a report as to the number of resident property
II owners who have signed said remonstrance.
This being the date set. hearing was had on the ass6s sment roll for

The Eoa rd approved the fbllcui ng Guarantee Bonds:
Guarantee Bond of Frame and Zimmer, Inc., for the pavement of
the alley west of Riverside Drive from St. Joseph Street to Navarre Street under Impr
ment Resolution No.2349 in the anount of $I53.66, signed by Southern Surety Co.
Guarantee Bond of Frame are_ Zimmer, Inc. , for the xo avement of
the alley west cf Scott Street from Dubail Avenue to C2lvert Street under 'Improvement
resolution No.2350, in the amount of $234.99 , signed by southern Surety Company.
Guarantee Bond of Frame and Zimmer Inc. , for the pavement of
the alley west cif' Taylor Street from Lasalle Avenue to Ist ., alley north of LaSalle
Avenue under. Improvement Resolution No.235I.) signed by Southern surety Company.
This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the grade,
curb and walk improvement on sorin 'street from east line of Madison Park Addition to
Twyckenham Drive under Improvement Eeso lu ti on No . 2327.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared a
no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being full-v advised in the premises
finds that the benefits to the several lots and- parcels of land are equal to the amoun
shown on seid assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final .action on
said assessment roll, and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
Without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment
roll delivered to the Department .of Finance.

No.238I for the vacation of humboldt Street from the west line of lliamond Avenue to
the east line of the C. I- & S. R. R.' ( See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above ramed vacation resolution, no remonstrators appear-
ed and no written remonstrances were filed, and the Board being fully advised in the
premises, decides to take final action on said vacation resolution and declares same
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board now orders that a list or
roll be prepared of all owners and holders of property and- of valuable interests there-
in sought to 'le taken, which list or roll shall also describe the property benefieialll
affecteC: by said vacation.
Ci V Engineer, El. G. Dray, submitted a schedule of redistribu-
tion of assessments for river Park hewer M for Lot 94, Original Plat River- park ovined'
by Anna L. & Frank D. Kaley and R. S. Johnston. The Board approved same in, the amounts'
shown on said schedule.
The -board approved the fbi, 16wing final estimates:
