Broden, Gavin Ferlic, Randy Kelly Committee Members Absent: None Other Council Present: Karen White, Tim Scott, Oliver Davis, Dr. David Varner, Regina Williams-Preston Other Council Absent: None Others Present: Kareemah Fowler, Graham Sparks, Bob Palmer Presenters: Mike Danch, Greg Hakanen Agenda: Bill No. 69-17- Street&Alley Vacation for property located on Corby St. &Eddy St. (5 Corners, LLC) Committee Chair John Voorde called to order the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee meeting at 3:45 p.m. He introduced members of the Committee and proceeded to give the floor to the presenters. Bill No. 69-17-Street & Alley Vacation for property located on Corby St. & Eddy St. (5 Corners, LLC) Mike Danch, Danch, Hamer&Associates with offices at 1643 Commerce Drive, stated, We are asking for the vacation of a portion of Corby Street that is east of South Bend Avenue and Eddy Street. There is nothing there,really,right now. He passed out a handout to the Councilmembers (available in the City Clerk's Office). He continued, They are trying to refine what they own. The first step in this process is to get these public right-of-ways vacated. Greg Hakanen, Director of Northeast Neighborhood Redevelopment for the University of Notre Dame with offices at 415 Main Building, stated, We worked very collaboratively with Charlie Hayes and his crew. I am just here to speak in favor of this petition. Mr. Danch replied, Yes, that is correct. Committee Chair Voorde then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. He then turned the floor back to the Committee for further comment or main motions. Committeemember Broden made a motion to send Bill No. 69-17 to the full Council with the favorable recommendation. Committeemember Kelly seconded the motion which carried unanimously by a voice vote of four(4) ayes.
