Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. all members present.
The Board approved a renewal certificrte for contractors bond in favor of
C. Jordan Co., in the amount of I,000.00 signed by=merieanuretzT Company.
This Ding the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.
2356 for the pavement of Huey Street from Brood 11venue to Tiarquette -venue. (See
files for c o-oy of resolution.)
In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators eppe-^red but no
written remonstrance was filed end. efter hearing all persons interested in said i.mpro
vement, the Board decides to modify said resolution to read "from Elwood -venue to
Keller Street." 'vlith this modification, the Board finds that the benefits to the
several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said i.mpmvement Trill be
equal to the esti=ted cost of same as reported by the City Jnpineer. The Eoard.,
therefore , decides to take fin, l action on said improvement re solution and declares
same in all things r•etif'ied, confirmed and approved as modified. -

In the above nerved. improvement resolution,, remonstrators mpeeared but
no vrittm remonstrance ,gas filed and upon the request of croperty owners, the Board
decides to modify said improvement resolution to read. "From I -lien Street to west curb
line of Diamond .?venue." i ith this rodification, the Board finis that the benefits
to the several lots and parcels "f land liable to 're assessed for said improvement
rill be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The
Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement res lution and
declares same in all things ratified, conf irrned and approved as modified.
This being the date set, hearing wns had on Improvement Resolution No.
2358 for the pavement of Robinson Street from Lincoln Way East t i C.lvert Street.

in the above named improvemarit resolution, remonstrators appeared and a_
written remonstrence v..Tas filed and the Board, being- fully advised in the premises,
decides to over rule said remonstrance and finds that the benefits to the several
lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to
the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The loerd, therefore ,
decides to take final action on said. resolution and declares same in all things,
ratified, conf, irmed and approved. The Board hereby orders written remonstrance
delivered to City Engineer for check -as to the number of resident property owners on
same.
This being the date set, hearing waf had on Improvement Resolution No.2359
for the pave n.t of -Ruskin Street from Opklan d Street to Clover Street. ( See f ile s

In the above named 1 rovement resolution, remonstrators appeared and
after he^ring° all persons interested. in said.- improvement, the Board decides to rescind
all former action taken on said resolution and. declares same null and void and the
proceedings closed.

Bids having been received for the p^vement of Oakside Street from
Michigan Street to Main Street under Improvement Resolution No.2336, the Board this
I4th., day of Flay, I930, hereby makes a preliminary order for concrete pavement as the
type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and sets the 27th., day of
May 1930, as the time when said Board slell eitrerpass on petiti^ns for a 'change in
the tyre of pavement other than that specified in the order, award the contract or re-
ject all bids*
Bids ba ving been received for the pavement of Eddy Street from
North curb line of South Bend. Avenue to City Limits under Improvement Resolution No.
23421 the Board this I4th., day of r=ay 1930, hereby makes a. preliminary order for
concrete pavement as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and
sets the 21th., '('-�ay of Iflay I930, as the tiTe when said Board shall either pass on
petitions for a chanpe in the type of pavement other than that specified in the pre-
liminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.
City Engineer, H. G. 17ray, filed. a final report on remonstrance filed
against the pavement of 36th., Street under Improvement Resolution I1o.2355 shoring that
37 resident propert- owners on this street 2I of whom have signed the remonstrance.
This number constitutes P. majority and. the Board, therefore, mscinds all former action
taken on said resolution and declares same null a.ndvoid and the proceedings closed.
The Board approved the redistribution of as --essmEn is for the Northwest
Trunk sewer for property in the names of C„ rl E . Zimmer and Fred W. Frame and Fred
Swingendorf totaling $2,3I2.69, ^s shovm on schedule submitted by City Engineer..
This being the date set, xiearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.
236I for the Vacation of the Ist. , alley nest of Hill Street from the north line of the
first alley north of Cedar street to aline running from the northwest corner of
lot No.4 in Dinan's Second Addition to the south east dcrner of lot I2 in Dinans Second
Addition; all in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above named vacation resolution, remonstrators appeared and
after hearing all persons interested in said vacation and being full advised in the
-,premises, the Board decides to modify said vacation resolution, as folloxrs:
"All that pert of the first alley west of Hill street that lies
west of P. line running from the southeast corner of lot 20 in Dinan's second. Addition
to the southeast corner of Lot 13 in Linan's Second Addition; ell in the City of
South Bend, Indiana."
The Board hereby modifies the district to be effectdd by said
modification to be as follcris:
"Lots 13. 149 I59 I69 I7, I8, 29. and 20 in Dinan's '"econd Addition."
ith the above mod ffication, the Board dec des to take final action
on said Vacation Resolution No.236I and declares same in all things ratified, confirm-
ed and approved as mod. ified. 21,
The Board now orders that a list or roll be premred of all owners
and holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken, which
list or ro11 shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such modified
ve estion. resolution.
