Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.

The Board approved the following Partial estimates:

The board approved the redistribution of assessments for the IGiain Ij
i3treet Improvement under Resolution No.995 as petitioned for by Weisberger Bros and as
submitted by City Engineer in schedule. •

City Engineer , H. G. Wray, submitted reports on remonstrances
filed against improvements as follows: j
Report on remonstrance filed a ainst the pavement of Stfygart
Street from Prairie to 2nd., alley no, th cf Indiana Avenue. I7 resident property owners
out of 23 rigned the remonstrance. This constitutes a ua jority and the Board hereby
orders all former action taken on said improvement rescinded and the proceedingp closed.

from ebster Street to Swygert Street. 'Ten resident property owners out of I2 signed
the remonstrr race against said improvement, and as this constitutes a majority, the Board';!
hereby orders all former action taken on said improvement rescinded and the proceedings 11

Majority, the Board hereby orders all former action taken on said improvement rescinded

The 1:�oa.rd signed the contract with Tirotta Palmiere Co., for the
;onstruction cf a local serer in Clyde tree t under Improvement Resolution No.23I7 in
the amount of 287.85. The -board also approved the construction bond. of same for I00%
)f the contract price signed by National Surety Company.

The Board stgned the contract with E. T. Trenberg for the pavement
of the alley west of Cushing Street from point I32 feet south of Grand View Avenue to
point I62,7I feet north of Oak street under Improv+emelt resolution No.23I0 in the amount ii
of 0604.50. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 50% of the con-
ra et price signed by fidelity and Casualty Co.
The Board signed the contract --rith E. T. Tra.nberg for the grade,
urb and walk improvement on Ruskin treet from alley west of Clover Jtreet to Oakland treet under Improvement Resolution No.23II in the amount of $403.08. The Board approved „ he construction bond. of same for 50/ of the contract price signed by Fidelity and

in the amount of $I1000.00 signed by Gnat American Ind emnity Co.

In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board,
hereby orde-irs that on the 4th. , day of June 1930 this Board will meet in their office
in the City Ball at 7-I5 P. M. , to he?r and receive remonstrances frcm all
ested kti or affected by said improvements and will deci�-e whether the benefits to
several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be 'I
equal' to the estimated costs thereof. The Board furtl-e r orders that notices of said

Resolution No.2325,
. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appErred and no
written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds
that the several lots and parcels of land have b een b enef ted a rid damaged in the amounts
j named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to -cake final action on
• I. said assessment roll and declares swe in all things ratified., confirmed and a.pprot'ed
1 and the pro ceedings closed.
The Board approved pay roll claims in the amount of $3, 285.20 for ve riou

The hoard approved claims in the amount of $9,397.I8 for various depart-
ment s .
The Board- approved the plat of '-Nalnut Park Addition vrith the following

The annexed Plat is a Plat of Walnut Park, an Addition to the City of
South Bend , 6t. Joseph County, Ind-iana, and comprises a tract of land described as
follows:
All that part of the northwest Quarter (-&I) of Section Thirty -Six (36) ,
Township Thirty-seven (37), Range Two (0 east, that lies east of the
I'dichigan Road.
• i The Plat contains 490 lots, numbered from I to 490 inclusive.
The width of tln streets and alleys and dimensions of the lots are marked
on Plat, in feet end fractions thereof.
The streets a.rd alleys are hereby dedicated to the public for public
uses.
- In fitness `'Thereof, tre undersigned, Catherine Cook, and William Book
have hereunto set their hands and the Cooper Developement Company, a corporation, has
caused its corporate name to be hereunto subscribed by the hand of its President, and
