Board met in regular session at 7-0 P. Y. All members present. On account
of the lame number of people present, the meeting adjourned to the Council Chambers.
This being the date* set,hearing teas had on Improvement Resolution No. 2330
for the local seder improvement in Huey Street from Rlwood avenue to Marquette Ave.
In the above named improvement resolution, no remons trntors appeared and no
written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises
decides to modify said resolution to read "From Elwood Avenue to Keller "treet" 04
stead of "From E1 0od t o Marquette% With th is mod i f ica tidn, the Board f inds that
the benefits to the sever elalot s and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said
improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same and that the improvement, is
necessary. The Board hereby orders that City Enginneer file modified plans and
estimate in accordance with the modified resolution. The Board, therefore, decides
to take final action on said resolution and declares same in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved as modified.
The Board approved the redistribution of assessments in Lots No.I3, 14, and
I5 in Lincoln Manor 3rd.., Addition f or both sewer and pavement improvements, as sub

In the above named condemnation remolution, remonstrators appeared but no
written remonstrances Tere -filed and the Board, beipp filly advised in the premises
takes final action on said condemnation resolution ho.2331 and declares earn in all
things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. The Board now orders
that a list or roll be prepared of all owners and holders of property and of valuabl,,-
interests therein sought to be taken, which list or roll shall also describe, the
property beneficially affected by such condemnation. The Boa rd , hereby, appoints
dward Pfeiffer, J. M. Chillas and tta.lph C. Osborn to act as a Board of appreisors
in determining the amounts of benefits and damages in connection with this condemna
tion.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
removal of the Grand Trunk "estern Railroad Companyts tracks on "ivision street
from Vchigan Street to L.urel Street. After hearing all persons interested in
said assessment roll abd being fully advised in the premises and each and every
property owner having filed with the Board a written remonstrance against their
respective assessments as down on said roll, the Board decides to modify said assess
ment roll as follows:
The benefited district extending from Michigan Street to Laurel Street was reduced in area to include only that property between Michigan "treet and Laurel Street
abut tiny= on D4 visi on "treet wi thin a distance of I00 f eet north and south of the
north and south property lines of said Division `'treet.
The amount of the assessments of said district was reduced from fI95,579.OI
to 139 , II5.60/
Each 100 foot area on either side of Division Street, extending between
Mi china. n Street and. Laurel Street was divided into two zones of 50 feet each. The
two 50 feet zones next adjacent to the north and south property lines on Avision
Street sustained 600 of the reduced assessment and the remaining two 50 foot seness
sustained 40; ,of the reduced assessment. Said assessments were made upon a basis
of square foot area with no consideration given to assessed valuations.
With the above modifications, the Board finds that the several lots and parcels
of land in said modffied district have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown
on said modffied roll and therefore, the Board decides'to take final action on said
modified assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and
approved as modified and the p roceedings closed. All f i nal assessments as shown in
red on the modified roll. The Board -now orders said modified assessment roll delivered
to the Department of Finance.
