Board met in regular session at 9 A. OK. Mr. W. R. Hinkle absent. Minute
of meetings held November I9th. , and hovember 20th . , I929 , read and. approved.
This being the date set, c ont inued hearing was had on Vacation Resolutio
No.2276 for the Vacation of the alley east of Sunnysic_e Avenue from Sorin Street to
north line of alley south of Sorin Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named vacation resolution, no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstrance was filed and the .hoard, therefore, decides to take final actin
on said Vacation resolution ho.2276 and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed
are approved and the alley vacated.
The Board nau orders that a. list or roll be prepared of all owners and
holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be of fec
it ed by said vacation, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially
i affected by such.. vacation.

In the above named assessment roll, the Board. decides to continue hearin

arrangement with some property owners on whose lots the dirt was put.

In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators
appeared a.nd. no written -remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised
in the premises, fin:-s that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited
in the amounts shown on said. assessment roll, and therefore, the Board takes final
action on said assessment roll and declares spme in all things ratified, confirmed an
approved and the procee('ings closed. The Board. now orders said assessment roll de-
livered to the Department of finance.

under Improvement Resolution 1 o.2290.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared aid
and no rem.onstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises

shoy,n on said assessment roll, and. therefore, the Board decides to take final action
on said assessment roll and declares same in all thinks ratified, confirmed and appro�
ed without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assess;;
ment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.

Company for the sewer improvement on Sample, Vermont Place and Revere Place under
Improvement Resolution lvo.23I4 in the amount of $4,I00.75, The Board also approved
the construction bond of same in the amount of IMj of the contract price signed by
Great American Indemnity Co.

Resolution Po.2273 in the amount of �2,552.99, signed by Inland Bonding Uo.

No.2290 in the amount of 445.22 signed by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company
Guarantee Bond of H. N . Barnes for the. pavement of the alley
north of Colfax Avenue from Esther Street to Greenlawn Avenue under Improvement
Resolution Ao.2258 in the amount of I3I.06 signed by United Staten Fidelity and
Guaranty Company.
Guarantee Bond of Edi:la.rd DeJulio for the see -per improvement on
Elmer Street from Longley Avenue to Frederickson Street finder Improvement Resolution
hjo.2299 in the amount of �133.95 signed by Great American Indemnity Company.
City Engineer, N. C. :gray, filed the primary assessment roll
for the pavement on Huey Street from Lincoln Way West to Elwood Avenue under Improve-
ment Eeso lu ti on 1\ o . 2260.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders tha
on the 4th., dad; of December 19219, this Board will meet in their' o,ffic.e in the City
Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear end receive remonstrances from'all persons whose property
has been assessed for said. impro-vement and will decide nether the several lots and
parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said primary
roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be publigh.ed on
the 29th., da.v of November and on the 30th., day of lJovember I929, in the South Bend
News Times and Tribune according to law.
1;he -board approved the Contractors Bond of Fred Futter covering
the contract between said Fred Futter and the Board of Public 7�orks for the installa-
tion of a the heating system in the 1-orthw.est Fire Stati on Vo.II in the amount of
"I J57.84 signed by the Mletropoli tan Casualty Insurance Company. The Bo^ rd also
signed. the contract with .Fred Putter for the installation of the heating system in
the Northvrest fire Station Eo.II in the amount of $I,I57.84.
The Board approved the Contractors Bone'._ of the Smogor Lumber
Company covering the contr^ct be'tween said Smogor Lumber Company and the Board of
Public Works for the general contract of the building of the lRorthwest Fire Station
No.II in the amount of QI4,794.00 sJ fined by .Employers Li-ebility Assurance Corroration
The Board also signed the contract with the Smogor Lumber Company for the general
contract for the building of the Northwest .Fire Station No.II in the amount of
$142794.00.

which were approved by the Board.

The toard, by unanimous vote, hereby appoints David. Raymond as
Director of the Lunicipal Air fort to replace John Kuesptrt whose resignation was
given the .hoard some time ago. The appointment of Mr. haymgnd is to be effective from
this date, November 26th., 1929,
The f oard approved claims for various dppartmen is in the amount of
�897.49.
The board pay roll claims for various department s in the amount of
6,037.02 and hereby artiers City controller to pay same.
The hoard pay roll claims in connection with Track Elevation in the
amount of 1433.33 and heTeby orders City Controller to pay same out of Track Elevation
fund
The Board instructed City � ngine er , H. C . Wray, to prepare plans
and a resolution for the widening of Division "treet between Taylor Street and Olive
Street, so that action any be taken on this major project at the earliest possible date

ipproved the construction bond of same in the amount cf 500 of the contract price
signed by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New ew York.

vement Resolution No.2297 in the amount of $892.30. The Board also approved the -
construction bond of same for 5O0 of the contract price signed by Fidelity and Casualt

The Board signed the contract wit-u'1illiam H. Burke for the plumb
ing in the new Fire Station ho.II in the amount of J1256.00; The Board also approved I
the bond of same for I00% of the contract price signed by Metropolitan Casualty Insur
