City Hall, at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and redeive remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the s everal
lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amount s named on
said primary roll, or in a greater or less spun than that named on said roll. The
Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 26th. ,

Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Y. All members present.
The Board signed the contract With Hoban and Roach for the pavement
of the alley north of LaSalle Avenue from Taylor Otreet to Scott Street under Improve-
ment Resolution No.2237 inthe amount of I275.250 The Board also approved the construct.
ion bond of same for 504 of the contract price signed by Southern Surety fro.
This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assess-
ment rolls!
Assessment roll for the sewer improvement on Olive Street from
Lincoln tNay West to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution No..2I43.
Assessment roll for the pavement improvement on Catalpa Avenue from
south Line Cotter Street to south line S. J. S. B., and -S. R. R. under Improvement
Resolution No. 2I6I.
Assessment roll for the pavement improvement of Miner Street 'from
east line Madison Park Addition to west line of Harriett Street under Improvement
'Resolution No.2I63.
In all of the above named assessment 'rolls, no remonstrators
Appeared and. no written remonstrances were filed .and the Board, being fully advised
in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited
in the amounts named on said assessment rolls. The Board, therefore, decides to take
final action on said primary assessment rolls, and declares same in all things ratified''
confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board
now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of Finance.

Bids having been received for the pavement of Douglas Street from Dubail
I• Avenue to Bruce street under Improvement Resolution No.2252, the Board this 24t., day
Of 11uly 1929, hereby makes a preliminary order for light traffic concrete pavement as
the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and -sets the 6th. , day
Of August 1929, as the time when said Board shall either pass on petitions for a change
in the type of pavement other than that specified in the preliminary order, award the.
contract or reject all bids.
Bids having been received for the pavement of Wilber Street from Lincoln
Way, West to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2253, the Board this 24th. ,

Street from Washington Avenue to ?= erry* Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 2250, the
Board this 24th. , day of July I929, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to
Eston Ball at his bid of 785.I0.
This being the date sett continued hearing was had on Improvement Resolution.
No.2246 for the pavement of Libert treet from the south line of Division Street to the
north line of Sample Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named improvement restolution a written remonstrance eras filed
and the Board after hearing all persons interested in said improvement and being fully
advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of I
land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the. estimated cost' of
ii same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board therefore decides to take final action!
on said resolution and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
The Board now orders said remonstrance delivered to the Department of Engineering for
a check on the resident property owners..
In the -matter of the pavement of Liberty street under Improvement Resolution)
No.2246, the Board orders that on the 6th. , day of August, I929, they will receive, open
and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement up to I0:00: A. X, - Th

TJpon the recommendation of ,71m., F. �Zual.ls, the Board ordered the
installation of the. following street lights:
I, 2500 lumen light at lioodlawn and Berkley
I, 2500-lumen light, at Woodlawn and Hollywood
I, 2500 lumen light,at Oakwood and Berkley
I, 2500 lumen. light at Oakwood and Hollywood
Ill of the -above lights to be at a cost of 35.00 each per year,

and the Board adopted said plans and spedifieat ons together with Improvement esolutio4
No 227I for the pavement of Bendix Drive from" the south line, of Linden Avenue to the
south line of Bertrand Street.
In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived
all right of objection on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings and to any
violation in procedure for the construction of said street improvements as fixed by
law, whereupon the Board, received, opened and read the following proposals for the
construction of said improvement:

and the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with Improvement Resolu-
tion No.2272 for the Eckman Street Sub -trunk .Sewer. (See files for copy of resolution.).
In the above named improvement resolution., the Board hereby orders
that on the 7th. , day of August, -I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City
Ball at 7-I5 P. M., to -hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
is liable to be assessed ,for said improvement and will decide whether the special benefits
that will accrue to the property liable to be assessed, wlrl'begequal to the estimated
cost -of said sewer as reported by the City Engineer, The Board further orders that
notices of said hearin shall be published on the 26th.

In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby
orders that on the 2Ist., day of August I929, this Board will meet intheir office in
the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the
benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to
the estimated costs --of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders '!
that notices of said hearirtgs shall be mblished on the 2nd. , day of August and on the
9th. , day of August I929, in the outh Bend hews Times and Tribune according to law.
This being the date set, hearing was. had on the assessment roll for
the sewer ,.and pavement improvement in Lincoln Terrace bddition under Improvement Revolu�
Lion No.2102.
In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no
written remonstrances were filed and the Board, after hearing all persons interested in
said assessment roll decides to modify said primary roll by doubling the assessments ifl
on all corner lots which were paved on two sides and reducing the assessments on all
other lots proportionately. With this modification, the Board finds that the several
lets and parcels of have been benefited in the amounts shown; on said modified assessment
roll and therefore. the Board decides to take final action on said modified roll and
declares same n`all things ratified, confirmed and, approved as modified and the proceed-"
ings closed.. The Board now 'orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of
Finance.

Board met in regular session at 9 A. Y. All members present. rinutes of
i meetings held July 23rd. , and July 24th. , 1929, read and approved.
The Board signed the contract with Albert Construction Company for the pave-
ment improvement on Bendix Drive from the south line of Linden Avenue to the south line
,of Bertrand Street under Improvement Resolution No.227I in the amount of $13,I38.I0.
The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of 50%o of the contrae
price signed by Inland Bonding Company.
The Board signed the contract with Hoban and Roach f nr the pavement of the
alley east of Lincoln Way East from Monroe Street to Arch Avenue under. Improvement
Resolution No.2236 in the amount of $1%858.35. The Board alsoryapTroved the construction
bond of same for 50% of the contract price signed by Southern Surety Company.
The Board approved and accepted deeds from the Bendix Realty Company and from
,the Votor Industries Company for land necessary for the widening of the pavement on
Bendix Drive under Improvement Resolution No.2271s and the Board hereby orders clerk
to have same recorded.
This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the following
improvements:
Bids for the pavement of Foster Street from Howard Street to a point 9.75 feet
south of the north line of It. Vincent Street under Improvement Resolution No.2247. li
