The Board signed the contract with 71illiston Construction Company for the pavement on Elmer Street from Lincoln `'Jay "pest to Elwood Avenue under Improve- ment Resolution No.2230 in the amount of $23,059.46. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Co. The Board signed the contract with Albert Construction Company for the pavement on Florence -"venue from Wilber Street to Johnson Street under Improve- ment Resolution No.223I in the amount of II,214.76. The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Company. The .Board a-pproved 'the claim of TTanTrump Testing; Laboratory for work in connection with Trace elevation work in the amount of 1p406.50. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assess- ment rolls: -.assessment roll for the local sewer in Lentucky Street from Jashington Avenue to the alley north of Division 6treet under Improvement Resolution wo.2182. Assessment roll for the local server in -erwinsci Street from Brook-'. field Street to the C. I. & S. R. R., under Improvement Resolution 7,0622I9. Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk on :Kentucky Street from Division street to Ford Street; ade and curb on Nord Street from Kentucky atreet to Iowa Street; and on the walk on ivision Street from :Kantuc�r Street to Ist., alley east, all under Improvement Resolution No.2I48. In all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appear- ed and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements have been. benefited in the amounts named on said assessment rolls. The Board therefore, decides to twee final action on said assessment rolls and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the pro- ceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Depart- ment of Finance. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assess- ment rolls: assessment roll for the pavement on Twenty ''econd atreet from'the south line of Pleasant atreet to the north end of River Bridge under Improvement Reso- lution No.2064. Assessment roll for the ravement on Liston Street from I4alnu.t Street to Studebaker Street under Improvement Resolution No.2I70. Assessment roll for the pavement on Carlisle Street from 77ashington Avenue to Linden Street under Improvement tesolution?o.2I88. In all of tie above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared' but no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the pre- mises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have benefited in the amounts j! named on said assessment rolls. The Board, therefore, decides to ta'.--;e final action on i said primary assessment rolls and declares sare in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of Finance. ij This being the date set, he -,_ring was had on the assessment roll for the pavement on Poland Street from Harris Street to T.T. Y. C. R. R. under Improvement Resolution No.2I89. j In the above named assessment roll, re^nionstrators appeared but no written remonstrance t;as filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and -parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified; fenfirmed and approved without modification and the rroceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. f4 i' This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve- ment resolutions: Grade, curb and walk improvement on Grant street from south curb line of JJ ashington Street to south line of Yerry Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2250. } Pavement improvement on 71ilber'street from .Lincoln .Way "est to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution l{o.2253. Pavement Improvement on Douglas Street from Dubail Avenue to Bruce Street under Improvement Resolution No.2252. i� • In all of the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators i; appeased but no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, after hearing all 1 • 'Jednesday, July IOth. , I929. 0 n persons interested in said improvements and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that the benefits to the several libts and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated costs'of same as reported by the Citygineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said im-rrovement resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders'that said .Board will receive, o-pen and read sealed proposals for the construct- ion of said improvements up to I0:00 A. T% on the 23rd. , day of July 1929. The Board further orders that notices of said proposal s shall be published on the I2th. , day of July and on the I9th. , day of July I929 , according to law. in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution !,To. 2246 for the ravement of LibertyStreet from Southline of Division Street to north line of Sample Street. In the above named improvement Resolution, remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance was filed and the Board, after hearing all persons interested In said improvements decides to continue hearing on same until July 24th. ; ' I929. This _being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on 35451-1. , Street from Cr. T. W. R. R. tonorth line lots II2G and 94 in Belmont Addition under Improvement Resolution Tlo.2145. In the above named assessmient roll a written remonstrance was filed by William Bergan for `FValter J. YcIntyre, remonstrating against the amount of assessments against his property. After hearing all persons interested in said assessment roll the Boa.rd decides to continue hearing until July 24th.0 19,29, at .7=1I5 P.I(T. This bein,: the date set, hearing was had on the contract with the NewJersey, Indiana- & Illinois R. R., to maintain and operate an additional track across Sample Street. In the above matter, Paul Butler, representing said railroad was -present petitboning the Board to ta',ce final action on said contract. Yr.-Butler filed proofs of publication as well as the sworn statement of T!. Glenn Robinson to the effect that said notice had been placed in ten 7ublic places in the City of South Bend. After hearing all persons interested in said contract, the Board decides to take final action on said contract and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved subject tb,:th ­ u ratification of same by the common Council. G. tray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with Improvement Resolution No.2263 for the pavement of the east one half of T"JENTI771-1 STTZ-77 from the south line ,of Lot 80 in Christman Place Addition to the north line of Jefferson 731vd. . ' In the above named improvement resolution, the Board, hereby, orders that � !on the 30th. , day of July 1@29, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall 432 Wednesday, July IOth. , 1929. at I0-00 IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land will be equal to the est ._mated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the I2th., day of July and on the I9th., day of July I929 in the South Bend ?dews Times and Tribune according, to law, and that notices be mailed to property owners.
