The South Bend Fire Department sought formal quotes for pricing on replacement firefighting
helmets throughout 2018, We received a formal quote from Phoeniiix Safety Outfitters that is
responsive. No other quotes were received, however the quoted price from Phoenix is 5%
lower than our normal retail pricing. Therefore, I ask that the Board of Public Works award as
quoted the South, Bend Fire Department Obsolete Helmet Replacement to Phoenix Safety
Outfitters at its December 211t regular meeting.
