Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. T:". All members present.
City 2 ngineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and
the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement
b esmlut i ons :
Improvement Resolution No.2252 for the pavement on Douglas Street from
Dubail Avenue to Bruce 'street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
Improvement Resolution No.2253 for the pavement on '=Wilber Street from
Lincoln "Way West to Elwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.)
Improvement Resolution No.2246 for the ravement on Liberty Street from
the south line of Division 'Street to the north line of Sample Street. (See files for
copy of resolution..)
Improvement Resolution No.2250 for the grade, curb and walk improvement on
Grant Street from the south curb line of "ashingt on Avenue to the south line of Merry
Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby,
orders that on the IOth. , day of July 1929, this Board will meet in their office in
the City Hall at 7-I5 P. V., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property may be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits
to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements
will be equal to the estimate costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The
Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 2lst. ,
day of June and on the 28th. , day of June 1929, in the South Bend News Times and
Tribune according to law and that notices be mailed to property owners according to
law.

pavement heavy traffic as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved
and sets the 2nd. , day of July I929, as the time when said Board shall either pass on
petitions for a change in the type of pavement other than that specified in the pre-
liminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.

Way Wiest to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution No2227, the Board this I9th.,

In the above named improvement resolution 7o.2235, a written
remonstrance was filed by 'Villiam A. and Gladys Bertsch, the only resident property
owners along the improvement. after hearing all persons interested in said improvement

and declares same null and void and the rroceedings closed.

In the above named improvement resolution, no. remonstrators appeared
and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the
premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and Parcels of land liable to
be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated ccost of same as
reported by the City �zgineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action
on said improvement resolution and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed

This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.2237
for the pavement of the alley north of LaSalle `Lvenne from Taylor Street to Scott
Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named improvement resolution, a written remonstrance was
filed by 'attorney A. E. Bart n for Tena TvTToney. 'everal property owners were also
Present remonstrating against said improvement. After all persons interested in said
improvement and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that the benefits
to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for, said improvement
will be equal to the estimated cost of same as filed by the City Engineer. The Board
therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrance and remonstrators and declares
sai.d resolution No.2237 in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
This being the date Let, hearing was 'iad on Improvement Resolution No.

In the above named improvement resolution No.2229, remonstrators appeared
but no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being dully advised in the
rremises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to
be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as
reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to to"e final action on
said improvement resolution, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and
arprove�-. without modification.
In the matter of Improvement Resolution No.2236 for the pavement of the
alley east of Lincoln Way vast from 1--=omroe street to -rch Avenue, and improvement
Resolution No.2237 for the pavement of the alley north of LaSalle Avenue from Taylor
atreet to Scott 6treet, the 3oard hereby orders that on the 2nd. , day of July 1929,
sal d Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said
improvements up to I0:00 A. 3. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals
shall be published on the 21st. , dAy of June and on the 28th. , c ay of June I929,
in the 'ouch Bend News Times and tribune according to law.
Jj In the matter of Improvement Resolution No.2229 for the pavement of
Bendix rive from the south line of Division Jtreet to the north line of Sample Street,
and Improvement Resolution No.2238 for the liddening and pavement or resurfacing of
Prairie Avenue from the east curb line of 'iebster Street to Grant street, the Board
hereby orders that on the 2nd., day of July I929, this Board will receive, open and
read sealed Proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. if.
The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the
2lst. , day of June and on the 28th. , day of June 1929, in the South Bend Trews Times
and Tribune according to law..
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
local sewer improvement on Elmer Street from a point 275 feet south of the center line
of Vassar Avenue to a point 205.5 feet south of the center line of Elwood Avenue under
Improvement Resolution No.2I37.
In the above named assessment roll, no r er.ronstrators appeared and no
written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts
named on said primary assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final
action on said primary. roll amd declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and
approved without modification and the rroceedings closed. The Board now orders said
assessT.-nent roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement -Resolution No.
2244 for- the sewer improver ent on Ewing Avenue from Franklin Street to Prairie Aven3tte.

In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appe�:red but no
written remonstrance was filed and after hearing all persons interested in said improve

ordeu that on the 25th. , day of June I929, this 'Board will meet in their office in

property has been assessed for said im1rovements and will decide whether the several
lots and parcels of land have been or will be beneftted in the amounts named on said
rolls or in greater or less sum than that named of said primary rolls.

the sewer in Greenlawn Avenue from the G. T. 'xi. R. R. to Chester 6treet under Improve
ment Resolution No.2200.

on the 2nd. , day of July I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Mall
at I0:00 A. Y., to hear and receive remonst-ances from all persons those. -property has
been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels'
of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said -primary roll. The Board
