Board met in regular session a t' 9 A. T`. All members present. Yinutes
of meetings held June Ilth. , and June 12th. , I929, read and approved..
The Board signed the contract Stith the rckenham band and Investment
Company for the grade, curb, walk and sewer in streets in i{idgedale 5th., Addition
under Improvement esolution No.2228, in the amount of 45,596.00. The Board approved
the construction bond of same for 100% of the contract price signed by A. R. Ers',-ine.
The Board 'signed the contract t.rith the Northern Indiana "instruction
Company for a local sevtr r improvement on Johnson Street under Improvement Resolution
No.2240 in the amount of 2,672.00. The Board als6 approved the construction. bond of
Came in the amohn.t of 100% of the contract price signed by the . Great -",meri can Indemnity
O.
The Board signe4 the contract with Keith: Riley Uonstruction Company
for the improvement on Michigan Street under Improvement Resolution No.2242 in. the
amount of 5202.23. The Board also approved the construction bond for same in the
amount of 56% of the contract price signed by the Southern Surety Company.
The Board signed the contract with Harry N. Barnes for the pavement
on Michigan 'street under Improvement Resolution No.2245 in the amount of JIO, 750.03.
The Board also approved the construction Bond of same in the amount of I00% of the
contract price signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Maryland.
No petitions 'laving been filed for a change in the t rpeof pavement
other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of the west 2
o Bendix 'rive from the south line of Humboldt Street to the north line of Lincoln
Highway under Improvement resolution. 31o.2222, the Board this I8th.9 day of June 1929,
hereby makes .a final order for sheet asphalt pavement light traffic as the type of
pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the montraet for said
improvement to `r`Jilliston Construction PYompany at their low bid of 11,278.82.
No petitions having been filed for a change in thetype of pavement
other than that specified in the preliminary order -Ufor the pavement of the south 2
of Humboldt Street from the center line of Bendix rive to the west line of Lot 39
in Kaleys 2nd., Lincoln Highway Addition under Improvement ``esolution No.222I, the
Board this I8th. , day of June I929, herby makes a final order for sheet asphalt pave-
ment light traffic as the type of -pavement with which said street shall be improved and
awards the contract for said improvement to "rilliston Construction ('ompany at their
low bid of '1, I40.58.
City-4ngineer, H. G. "fray, filed the following partial estimates:
Partial estimate No. 2 for the pipe sewer improvement in Greenlawn
Avenue from G. T. 'U. R. R. to Chester 6treet "treet in accordance �.rith the terms of
the contract between Northern Indiana Construction Company and the City under Improve
ment resolution No.2200. The Board signed and appr^,ved same in the amount of 684.02.
-Partial estima ,e No.I for the sewer improvement on Johnson street
from the center _line of Bulla Street to the center line of lot 24 in 0. C. Hueys Addition
to the City of South Bend, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the Cit
and Northern Indiana Construction "ompany, contractors, under Improvement Resolution y'
No.2240. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of $I,65T.65.

Improvement Resolution NO.2249 for the pavement of the alley south
of Monroe Street from Carroll Street to the first alley west of Carroll Street/ (See

In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived all
right of objections on and in defense to any defect in proceedings and to any violation
in procedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law, 01hereupon
the Board, proceeded to open and read the following proposals for the construction of

The Board signed the contract with the Aero Service Inc., for the rental
at Air -Port at the rate of 150.00 per month.
The Board appro=red claims for various departments in the amount of
$12,203.77.

he local sewer improvement in Kentucky 13treet from 71ashington 6treet to the alley
orth of Division Street under Improvement '_resolution No.2182.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders
hat on the I6th. , day of July 1929, this 3oard will meet in their office in the
ity Tall at 7-I5 P. 1%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several
lots and -parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named onn
said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that named on said roll. The
Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 28th. ,
day of June and on the 5th. , day of July 1929 in the 'youth Bend News Times and Tribune
according to law.
City Fn ineer, T . G. vVrey, filed the pprimary assessment roll for
the grade, curb and walk improvement on parallel Street from Grant Street to Johnson
Street under Improvement Resolution No.2112.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders
that on the 25th. , day of June, I929, this Board will meet in their office in the
City Kall at I0:00 A. MT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several
lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said
primary assessment roll ar in a greater or less sum than that named on said roll.
The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 2Ist. ,
day of June and on the 22nd. , day of June I929, in the South Bend News limes and
Tribune according to law.

showing the awards of damages and the assessments of benefits in the matter of the
vacation of a part of Twenty -Second Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Summymede Avenue
under Vacation Resolution No. 22I7.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
on the 2nd., day of July I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Kali
at IOs00 A. I"., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
has been affected by said vacation. The Board further orders that notices of said
hearing shall be delivered to property owners according to law.
