In :the above named ::matter regarding the pavement of Liston Street
under Improvement Resolution 1,o.2170, the Board hereby orders that said Contractor be
advised that the 3oard is willing to change the type of pavement from Sheet asrhalt
to concrete ravement as provided for in said petition.

Ci Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the tabulation of bids for the
pavement on Michigan treet from the south lin-, of Donmoyer Avenue to the south line
of hot 18 in J. D. J. Farneman's Ist. , Addition and South line of Lot 16 in Lucy J.
Tashers Ist. , Addition under Improvement '{esolution No.2245. Tabulation is as follows:

In the mat u- er of the pavement of Michigan Otreet under ImTrovement
resolution No.2245, the Board this I2th. , daT of June I929, hereby awards the contract
for said improvement to Marry N. Barnes at his bid of I0,750.03 for concrete -pavement
light traffic.
This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve
ment resolutions:
Im-orovement "esolution No.2230 for the pavement on Amer Street from
Lincoln Way °lest to -�'ldvood Avenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.)
Improvement Resolution No.2232 for the pavement on T�`onroe Street from
�! Olive 6treet to Kaley Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)

Improvement Resolution No.223I for the pavement on Florence Avenue
11 from Silber Street to Johnson Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)

In all of the above named improvement resolutions, property owners
were present but no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed
and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the
several lots and parcls of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be
h equal to the estimatecosts of same as reported by the city Engineer, and that the
I improvements are necessary. The Board, therefore, decides to ta'te final action on said
improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approv6i

I In all of the above named improvement resolutions, numbered 223I, 22
and 2230, the Board hereby orf.ers that on the 25th. , day of June, I929, this Board
will receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said improve
ments up to I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals steal:
be published on the I4th. , day of June and on the 2Ist. , day of June I929, in the
South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
No.2233 for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Campeau street from East line of
Park Place Third Addition to Harriett Street. (See files for o'py of resolution.

In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared

mines, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to
be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as
reported by the City Engineer, and that the improvement is necessary. The Board
therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolution and upon
the request of the majority of property owners present, the Board decides to modify
said resolution to -orotride for the extension of the parkway from Jacob Street to
Harriett Street. Idith this modifteation, the Board declares said _resolution in all
things ratified, confirmed and approved.
The Board now orders that on the 25th. , day of June 1929, this Board will
receive, open and consider sealed -nroposals for the construction of said improvement
up to I0:.00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals _shall
be published on the I4th. , day of June and on the 21st. , day of June 1929 in the
South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
City Engineer Ti.filed plans, specifications and estimate and the
Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement

Improvement Resolution No.2248 for the construction of grade, and sidewalk
on the south side of LaSalle Avenue from Nast curb line of yddy Street to the west
line of l,ot33 Kuhn's Ist. , Sunnyside Sub -division. .( See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that
on the 2nd. , day of July, I92 9, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall
at I0:00 A. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
may be affected by said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and
parcels of land will be benefited in proportion to the estimated cost of same as
reported by the City -I%gineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing
shall be published on the I4th. , day of June and on the 2lst. , day of June 1929' in
the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
TTron the recommendation of. City Engineer, -1. G. ,`Tray, the '3oard approved the !
petition of the" Indiana �% 1 ichigan Electric Company to install a manhole and ducts
to enable them to nerve the New Odd Fellows Building and other loads in that vicinity.
The Board approved the claim of the '`,.H. Bass Photo Co., in the amount of
8.65 for materials for the Engineering department, for Track Inevation.
In the matter regarding the improve -gent of Chapin Street from Ford Street to
Prairie revenue under Improvement-aesoluti on No.2I92, the Board by unanimous vote, de
cides to sustain and grant the request of the property owners to allow onjy one car
track along the line of said street, which is in conformity to the original plan
adopted by the Board.
In the matter of Improvement 'Resolution ?vo.2I25 A forthe improvement by
grading and -navernent of Sample Street, Fellows Street, Rush jtreet, Nutt treet and
certain alleys in connection with Track Elevation work, the Board hereby orders
that on the 25th., day of June I929, this 3oard will receive, open and consider
sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement up to I0:00 A. ''. The
Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the Iath
day of June and on the 2Ist. , day of June in the South Bend News Times and Tribune,
according to law.
