In the above named assessment roll, the Board decides to continue hearing until Tuesday, Yay I4th., 1929, at I0:00 A. 7%, so that the contractor may correct a few minor complaints regarding said sewer. The Board signed the contract with Jston Ball for the grading of the alley south of Fairview Avenue from High Street to Dale Avenue under Improvement Resolution 1To.2I9I in the amount of 3I6.09. The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of I00% of the total contract signed by the Employers Liability Assurance Company. The Board signed the contract with Eston Ball for the grading' of the alley east of High Street from Fairview Avenue to Irvington Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2I90 in the amount of 62.25. The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of 100% of the contract price signed by the employers liability Assurance Co. City ngineer, H. G. Wray, filed the -primary assessment roll for the sewer improvement on Yeade ''treet from the alley north of Lincoln Way vilest to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2M& In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 22nd., day of May I929, this Board will meet in,their office in the City Hall at 7-15 po r., to hear and receive remonstrances from all uersans whoseproperty has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and ra. reels -of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that named on said roll. The above named streets and alleys within the limits prescribed above shall be graded from property line to property line, and the roadway thereof shall be graded or paved, and also the roadway.of certain portions of the streets and alleys which enterl' or intersect said streets and alleys shall be graded, or graded and paved. All inter- ;; secting alleys, not whown on the plans for this improvement, shall be graded to conform to the grade of the street so intersected. The paving material to be used in making said ;improvement shall be sheet asphalt, asphaltic concrete, brick or portland cement concrete, ;!pavement. The foundation shall be rortland cement concrete six inches (6n) thick fof { the sheet asphalt, asphaltic concrete and brick. Curb wall, concrete walk and concrete Ii curb shall be constructed along said streets and alleys where same is necessary. Yanholes ;! storm water inlets and conduits shall be constructed where -necessary., ;Ylso water and ;isewer connections shall be constructed from the different mains to a point.six inches (6") inside of the curb lines, where necessary. All manhole tops and storm water inlets! shall be set to the proper grade. Concrete marginal curb shall be constructed at all 1it street and alley intersections where necessary; all as is more particularly shown and 1 all in accordance with the plans, profiles, detail drawings, and specifications on file in. the office of the department of Public Works of the City of mouth Bend, Indiana. Baringer in the amount of JJ,000.00 signed by the 'Itandard-'eoident Insurance `'o. The Board approved the e cavati on bond in the amount of I,000.00 signed by the Mericaj Employers Insurance ompany. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of C. E. Reesh for the Meade Street Sewer under Improvement Resolution No.2I83 signed by tae United States Guaranty CO., in the amount of 305.73. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement resole tiuns: Improvement resolution _No.22IB for the local sewer improvement in Fremont Street from Humboldt Street to Llwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution. Improvement resolution No.22I9 for the local sewer improvement in Ilerwinski Street between Brookfield Street and College Street. (See files for copy of resolutionsj In both of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premise finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modifibation. In the both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders that on the 28th., day of Yay 1929, this Board, will receive, opene and read sealed proposals foaf the construction o f said improvements up to I0:00 A. TT. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the I7th. , day of Yay and on the 24th., day of May I929, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law. This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the ,--;r-ade, curb and walk improvement on Anderson Street from ring -treet to Bulla Otreet under Improvement Resolution No. 2208.
