This being tjae date set, hearings were had on the following. im??rovemen' resolutions: Im rovement resolution No.2I84 for -an emergency sewer in Sorin Street from the St. Joseph fiver to a point an_proximately 35 feet east. (See files for resole- tion.) • • 0 s 0 F_J Improvement Resolution No.2 83 for a local sewer in. Yeade °treet from Lincoln Way test to ,Elwood avenue. (See files for resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2180 for a local sewer in Kentucky Street between VI`ashington Avenue and Division Street. Isee files for..resolution. ) Improvement Resolution No.2I81 for a local sewer in Fremont Street from Elwood avenue to del ler Street. ( See files for resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the special benefits that will accrue to the property to be ,assessed abutting on the line of siich proposed sewersor drains, will be equal to the estimated costs -of same as reported by the City -Engineer.- The Board, therefore decides to tarze final action on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all1things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders that on the I2th., day of March 1929, the Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. 1% The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the Ist., day of March and on the 8th. , day of March 1929 in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve- ment resolutions: Improvement Resolution No.2I76 for the pavement improvement on the west one half of Ernsperger Street from Lincoln .'day East to a point 45 feet north of .,the center line of Siver Avenue projected. (See files for resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2177 for the grade, curb and wale improve fnent on Farneman Street from Michigan Street to RTain 6treet. (see files for resolution. Improvement Resolution No.2I78 for the pavement on Franklin Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue. (See files for resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance.was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for such improvements will be equal to the -estimated costs of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to ta'ce final action on said improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and arpnoved without modification. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the I2th., day of March 1929, this Board will receive, open and read i sealed proposals up to I0:00 A. The Board, therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrances, and declares said improvement resolution No.2179, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved ;I without modification. I'Tinutes of meetings_ held February 26th. , and February 27th. , I929, read and approved. The Board approved the excavation bond of Sa-^uel Slutsky in the amount of JI,OOO.00 signed by the Ohio Casualty Co., of Hamilton Ohio. The Board approved the excavation bond of Alex-J. Kish in the amount of ` T, 000.00 signed by The American Surety Company of New York. City Engineer, H. G. Wray, presented a written redistribution of the assessment against Lot 41 in Robinson and Haughton's Sub -division of Lots 3 and 4 in Kuntsman and Meyer's Addition for the construction of the Bertrand Street sewer under Improvement Resolution No.IO28. The Board signer and approved same and hereby orders Clerk to deliver same to the City Controller. At the reauest of the Board, some of the representative property owners from the East Section of the City were present in the matter of the improvement of Bridge Street. Representatives of the Indiana and Michigan Electric Com-rany were also present and showed tentative plans for the imrrovement of their property along 'last Lasalle Avenue and Past Colfax Avenue providing the City will consent to close or vacate Bridge iltreet. Af+er hearing these plans, the nroperty o-mers voiced their j approval of the closing of Bridge x'treet.from Colfax Avenue to LaSalle Avenue. The Board approved the claim of the Vutual-Detective Agency for pnlicing the grade Separation area in the amount of-440.00 and the Board hereby orders City Controller to -ay same out of Track Elevation Fund. ?�=eeting adjourned at II-30 A.
