Uron the recommendation of the City Plan commission, the Board approved the plat of Tea jor's Addition to the City of youth Bend, Indiana, with the following dedication: 1` 40R' S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH B7701 INDI ANA. The attached max) is a true plat of an addition to be 'mown as "Ma jor,'s Addition", am addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, being a tract of land desetibed as follows: The crest seven Hundred seventy eight (778.0) feet of the parcel mown as.Lot 4 in the Partition in which John Leer, et al, were plaintiffs ( a transcript whereof is found in Deed Record No. 5I, page 167, of said County) which lies between the Vistula Road (Now Lincoln Highway). running from �'outh Bend to 1Aishawaka, across said Lot 4, and the St. Joseph Diver; that is such Part of said Lot 4 as is included between the river and said road. Said Lot .is desetibed as follows; Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 3 in said Partition, being 17.47 chains West of the East line of the "est Al of said 6outheast �suarter of �Iection No.I8, Township 37 north, range 3 east, and 20.015 chains North of the 0outh line of said Section, thence East I7.47 chains to the east line of the west � of said South East Quarter; thence North on said East line 22.485 chains to the St. Joseph. The strip of land twenty (20) feet wide' marked on the -plat as Sampson Street is nottowned by the owners of this plat and is not as yet dedicated to the public for use as a thoroughfare. The strip of land fifteen (I51) feet wide adjacent to the south side of the -plat is am easement reserved in deeds for use of the owners of the several pieces of land adjoining it and is not a public thoroughfare. Pay roll in the amount of 216.00 for 7�ngineering in connection with Track Elevation work also ar-oroved and the Board hereby orders the City Oontroller` to -pay same out of track elevation fund. Representatives of the Postal Telegraph Company were present at the request of the Board and of _+m. F. ^walls, superintendent of poles and wires. The Board was assured by these representatives of the Postal Sompany that said Company;; Muld cooperate with the city in the matter of pla&egg their poles underground -in the district -prescribed for underground conduit. These representatives also assured the Board that work on Laporte Avenue would start within the course of the next two months. 1�eeting adjourned at I I-30 A.Y. •
