Reesh for the construction of ,Elmwood Drive from Southwood Avenue to center line of Lot 820 Sunnymede 4th., Addition under Improvement Resolution No.2I55 in the amount of 2,484..10. The Board also ,.approved the construction bond of same for i00°Jo of the contract price signed by Uaited.States Guaranty Company. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of W. J. '� Nees Company for the pa I on Sample Street from point 308 feet west of Bellevilbe Ist. , Unit to the westlineent of N.J. I. &. I. R. R. under Improvement Resolution No.2037, in the amount of 4,361.99, signed by Southern Surety Company. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Reith Riley construction Company for the pavement on-Aligelt Street from M6.rine Street to Miami Street under Improvement ;Resolution No.2087, in the amount of 1,161.12 signed by Southern Surety Company. J The Board ap 1proved the Guarantee Bond of Rieth Riley Construction Company ! for the pavement on Narier Street from Vdalnut Street to Cherry Street under Improvement t Resolution Nn • 2044 in the amount of 749.23 signed by the Southern Surety Company. i i This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the .!grade, curb and walk improvement on the south side of Sorin Street from point 131.37 ':feet west of I°adison Park to the E. P. L. P��dison Park under improvement resolution No.2 f36°. In the above named assessment roll, no remonst-ators appeared and no written .;remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds ';that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have !been benefited in the amounts named on said primary assessment roll. The Board, there :fore, decides to ta'ce final action on said primary assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and ppproved without modification and the proceedings "closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the -Department of 11inance. City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for the pavement on Victoria Street from east curb line of Y-iami Street to east line of !`iami Heights Addition under Improvement Resolution No.2088. In the above names' assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 5th. ,day of December 1928, the Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 79I5 .P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said imrrovei-,lent have been or will be benefited in the 'amounts named on said primary roll. The Board further orders that notifies of said hearing shall be published in the South Bend Nevus Times and Tribune on the 30th., day of November and on the Ist. , day of December 1928, According to law. Claims amounting to 1265.07 signed and approved by the Board. The Board approved pay rolls claims in the amount ,of 5, I27.45. The Board approved the claim for the salaries of Engineer and Clerk in the amo,a.nt of 433.33 and hereby orders the City Controller to ray same out of Trabk Elevation fund. City Engineer, H. G. (fray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement reso lotions: Improvement Resolution No.2I66 for the pavement on Bartlett Street from Michigan Street to Riverside Drive. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2267 for the pavement on Smith Street from Huey Street to Olive Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2I68 for the pavement on .VanBuren Street from Portage Avenue to Lawnda le Ataenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders that on the. I9th., day of November 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for such improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend Mews Times and Tribune on the 30th., day of November and on the 7th.9 day of December I928 according to law. City engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted acid plans toget with the following Vacation Resolution No.2I65: Tuesday, November 27th. , 1928.. Resolved by the Board of Public liorks of the City of South Bend, Indiana, That.1t. is desirable to vacate the following: The first alley vast of bale Avenue from the south line of Dubail :venue to the north line of Dayton Street; also The first alley west of Miami Street from the south line of Dubail Avenue to the south lines of Lot 60 and 65 in Oak park.2nd., Addition, also from north lines of Lots 61 and 7I in Oak,Park 2nd., addition to the north line of Dayton Street; also The first all-ey south of Duba_1 Avenue from the east line of Dale Avenue to the .west line of the first alle-- east of Dale Avenue, by such vacationThe, following propery may be in furiously it beneficially affected ; Beginning at the south west corner of DuBail Avenue and P:liami Street thence south along the west line of IvIliami Street to the north line of Dayton 6treet, thence west along the north line of Dayton Street to the east line of Dale Avenyer thence north along the east line of Dale Avenue to the south line of Dubail Avenye, thence east along the south line of Dubail Avenue to the west line of Via:hi Street the place of beginning." , In the above named vacation resolution No.2I65, the Board hereby orders that on the I9th., day of December I928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Mall at 7-I5 P. hT. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by such vacation. The Board further orders that notices of such hearing shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 30th. , day of November and on the 7th. , day of December 1928, according to law.
