Board met in regular session at 9 A. Mo Mr. 1.7. R. Hinkle and Mr. John
J. Ole jnic zak absent.
Due to the lack, of a quorum, no business was transacted and all business
scheduled for this time will be taken. up .at the regular meeting on Iffednesday, evening
at 7-15 P. M.

Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Y. All members present.
Mr. H. G. Wray, City Engineer, and Charles W. Cole, engineer, also present.
This being the date set, continued hearing was had on Vacation Resolution
No.2I40 for the vacation of the first alley east of Stanfield Street (a strip of land al
along the east line of Harter Heights And., Addition) from Napoleon Street to Angella.
Avenue.
In the above named vacation resolution,- remonstrators appeared and
a written remonstrance was filed and the Board, after hearing all persons interested
in said vacation resolution, decides to continye hearing on same until Tuesday,
October 23rd., 1928, at I0:00 A. M.
City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed primary assessment roil for the pave
ment on 22nd., Street from Jefferson Blvd., to south line of Pleasant Street under
Improvement Resolution No.2064.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on
the 24th., day of October 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City
Hall at 7-I5 P. M.. to hear and receive rerionstrances from all persons whose property'
has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether_ the several lots and
parcels of land have .been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said roll.
The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the
I9th. , ( ay of Oct ober and on the 2 Oth. , day of October 192 8, in the South Bend News
Times and Tribune according to law.
This being the date set, contAnued hearing was had on the following
assessment rolls:
Assessment roll for the pavement of Madison Street from Palmer Blvd.,
to Harriett rStreet under Improvement Resolution No.2083.
�l Assessment roll for the pavement and sewer improvement in Lincoln Yanor
Third Addition under Improvement Resolution No.208I.
In both of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared
and no written remonstrances were .filed and the ,Board, being fully advised in the
premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said
improvements have been benefited in the amounts named on said primary rolls. The
Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment rolls, and declares same in
all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings
closed. The -Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the department of
Finance.
City Engineer, H.:- G. Wray, filed primary assessment roll for the grade,
curb and walk improvement on Orange Street from Birdse.11 Street to alley west of
Birdsell Street under Improvement Resolution No.20I8, In the above named assessment
