The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the iilliston donstructon
Company for the resurfacing of North Shore Drive from a point 150 feet west of the
we^t line of tafayette Street to the west line of Irquoise Street under Improvement
Resolution No.2076, in the amount of 869,03 signed by Inland Bonding Company.
�i The Board. approved the Ggrantee Bond of Alex Bukowski for the pave
ment of the first alley east of 23rd. , treat from Mishawaka Avenue to` Wall Street
under Improvement Resolution N0.2098, in the amount of 189.68 signedby United States
Guarantee dompany.
City-'ngineer, H. G. Fray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the
heavy traffic sheet asphalt pavement improvement on Greenlawn Avenyte from the north
j line of Colfax Avenue to the south line of Sunnymede Avenue, .in accordance with the
terms of the contract between the City and the Williston Construction Company under
Improvement Resolution No.2134., The Board signed and approved same in the amount of
25,173.13.
City 36gineer, H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the
sewer and heavy traffic sheet asphalt pavement improvement on Angella Avenue from the
east line of arter Heights Addition to Notre Dame Avenue in accordance with the
terms of the contract between the City and the Williston Construction ompany, con-
tractors, under Improvement Resolution No.2I26. The Board signed and approved same
in the amount of 46,0I9.24.
City agineer, H. G. =dray, submitted partial *estimate No.4 for the
sewer and light traffic concrete pavement improvement in Summit Place Fifth Addition,
in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Harry N. Barnes,.
contractor, under Improvement Resolution .No.2078. The Board signed and approved same
in the amount of 27, 6I6.5I.

Assessment roll for the pavement of the Ist. , alley east of 23rd. ,

In all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appearhd
and no written remonstrances were file,' and the Board being fully advised in the
premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land, primarily assessed for
said improvements have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment rolls.
The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment rolls, declaring same
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The
Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
This being the d to set, hearing was had on. the assessment roll for
the resurfacing of North Shore Xive from a point 150 feet west of the- west line of
Lafayette Street to the west line of Irquois Street under Improver ent Resolution
No. 2076.
In the .above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared but a
wrttten remonstrance was filed by B. A. Tuttle against the assessment on Lots 137
and 138 and the land opposite each lot. After due consideration, the Board finds
that the several 1 of s and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement
have been benefited in the amounts named on said roll and therefore, the Board
decides to take final action on said prinary assessment roll and declares same in
all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceed-
ings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department
of finance.
This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvem

Elmer Street from a. point 275 feet. south of the center line of Vassar Avenue to a point
205.5 feet south of the a -enter line of Elwood -Avenue under Improvement resolution
No , 2I37.
In both of the -above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared
and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the
premises, finds that the special benefits accruing to the property liable to be
assessed, abutting on the line of the sewer, will be equal to the estimated costs
of: same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, takes final action
on said improvement resolutions, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and
approved.

In the above named vacation resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed and the Board, therefore, decides to take f inal action on said
vacation resolution and d-eclares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
and the alley vacated.
The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners and holders
of property and of valuable interestes therein sought to be taken or to be affected
by said vacation, which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected by
such vacation.
City 'engineer, H. G. dray, filed���pprimary assessment roll for the pavement
on Madison treet from Palmer Blvd. , to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution
No. 2083.
In the above named assessment roll, the Boardhereby orders that on the I6th,
day of October 1928, this Board wdlt -meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all
11 persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement, and will decide whether
the several lots and parcels of land have been or will b e benefited in the amounts
inamed on said primary roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing
shall be published on the I2th., day of October and on the I3th., day of October 1928
11 in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to 1&w.
The Board signed the contract with the Standard Oil �;ompany for gas for
the Municipal Air Port as recommended by Ass It Chief John J. Kuespert.
Cla i.ms amounting to 2,189.96 signed and approved by the Board.
The- Beard approved the petition of the Federatbon of Social service for
constructing a banner across Colfax Avenue during the Drive for funds.

side of Sorin Street under Improvement Resolution No.2136, the Board this 9th., day
of October 1928, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to H. N. Barnes
at his low bid of 236.80.
