The Board a proved the ,purchase ..of two furnacesfor Fire Stations No.7 and
No.8, from the South Bend Spark Arrester Co., to cost $350.00 and 330.00 each.
The Board signed the contract with Williston Const7uction company for the
pavement of Angella Avenue from east line of Harter Heights ''ddi tion to Leeper Avenue
•antler Improvement aeeoluution No.2127 in the amount of V$873.9a, The Board also
approved the construction bond of same for 50% aC the contract price signed by I#land
Bond do..
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for thee grade,
curb and walk improvement on Kentucky Street from-Crumstown Road to Lincoln Way est under
Improvement Resolution No.2017.
In the above named assessed roll, so remonstrators appeared and no wrttten
remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that
the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said
assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roil and
declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the -proceedings closed.
:! .The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the _department of Finance.
This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for
the grade, garb and walk -improvement on Chicago. Street from Division Street to Jefferson
Blvd., under Improvement Resolution No.I829.
In the above named assessment roll no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that
the several lots and -parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been
'.benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll, The Board, therefore, takes
.final action on said roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approve
and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the
Department of Finance.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the pave-
ment of the Ist. , alley west of Miami Street from Broadway to Indiana Avenue under
`'� Improvement Resolution No.2065.
In the above named assessment roll no remonstrance was filed and no wemonstrato
appeared and the Board being fully advised in the premises decides to continue hearing
on said roll until September 25th. , 1928, at I0:00 A. Y.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the local
se *ier improvement on King Street from center line of Blaine Avenue to the center line of
: Lot I9 in Northwest Addition under Improvement Resolution No. 204 7.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written

In the above shamed assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and

that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said
improvement have been benefited i-n the amounts named on said primary roll.. The Board,
therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll, declaring same in all things
ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. - The Board now orders
said assessment roll delivered to the department of Finance:

premises, finds that the several lots abd parcels of land have been benefited and
damaged in the amounts named on said rolls. The Board, therefore, takes final action
on said assessment rolls and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and
approved and the proceedings closed.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for
I the Vacation of the alley south of Wayne Street from east line of Harriett street to
the west line of Greenlawn Avenue under Vacation Resolution No.2049.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
i finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged to
the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action
on said assessment roll and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and aplrov6d
and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to
the Department of Finance.
The Board approved the claims of the New York Central Railroad
for track elevation work in the amounts of 17,859.56 and I5,088.27 and hereby orders
the City Controller to pay same out of Fund for Track Elevation.

In the above nam ed assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on
the 25th., day of September 1928, this Board will meet in their office at I0:00 A. Y.,
to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed
for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have
been or will be benefited in the amounts named -on said assessment roll or in a greater
or less sum than that named on said roll. The Board further orders that notices of
said hearing shall be published on the Nth., day of September 1928, in the South
Bend News Times and Tribune aecording to law.

and walk improvement on Bale Avenue from south Tine of Ewing venue to north ine of
Eckman Street under Improvement Resolution No.2006.
In the above named improvement assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
on the I8th., day of September I9289 this Board will meet in their office in the City
Hall at 10:00 A. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and
parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts. named on said roll or, in a greater
or less sum than that named on said roll. The Board further orders that notices.
of said hearin shall be published in the South Bend Nuts dimes and tribune on the
I4th., day of September and on the 15th., day of September 1928, according to law.
City engineer, H. G. Wmy, fled primary assessment roll for the sewer
improvement on Hildredth Street from lover Street to a point 220 feet west, under
Improvement Resolution No.2089.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that nn the

City .Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed partial estimate No.2 for the light traffic
sheet asphalt pavement- improvement in Northwest Addition, in accordance with the terms
of the contract between the City and Reith Riley Construction Company under Improve-
ment Resolution No.206I. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 24,9I2.22
