Minutes of meetings held September 4th. , and September 5th. , 1928 i read -and approved. City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and, the Board ado pt ed said plans and specifications together *ith the following Improvement Resolution: Improvement Resolution N0.2136 for the grade, curb and walk improire- merit on the south side of Is, — Street from a point 131.37 ft. , west of the east line of MAdison Parr Addition to the east line of Madison Park Addition. In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that on the 2nd., day of October 19289 this Board will meet in their office in the pity Hall at I0:00 A. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be affected by said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Zliginee. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published in the ouch Bend. News Times and ribune on the l3th. , day of September and on the 20th. , day of September 1928, according to laws and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law.. In Both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders that on the I9th. , day of September 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7_I5 P. X. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons- whose property i has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land lave been or will be benefited in the amounts named on same rolls or in a .greater or less sum than that named on said rolls. Confirming verbal conservation with President Hinkle. the loading dock in question is more or less of a temporary structure to be built for the purpose of handling shipments in and out of Birdsell Plant until such time as our construction program with regards to track lay outs eta., is completed. Our appeal is based on. the fact that the type of structure we propose is not specifically mentioned either in your honing Ordinance or Municipal Building ode. 'With regards to location; your Building commissioner, Mr. D. Moomawlp agrees that we have complied with the honing Ordinance. It is proposed to paint the entire structure with a fire resisting paint except roof covering which is to be of incom- bustible slate coated asphalt shingles class "0". The covered area of this loading dock, which is fifty five feet imig by twenty six feet wide, is supported by an adequate number of posts and the roof construction is sufficiently strong to carry snow loads as required in your building code.
