Minutes of meetings held Augus t 21st. , and August 23rd. , 1928, read and
approved.
No petitions having been filed for the change in the type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order.,for the pavement of the east one-half of
Lake Street from the south line of Division ''treet -to the North line of Ford Street
under Improvement Resolution No.2095, the Board this 28th.. , day of August., 1928,
hereby makes a final order for light traffic concrete pavement as. the type of pavement
with which said street shall be improved and awards the contrast for said improvement
to the pdilliston Construction Company at their low bid of 6,616.00.
No petitions having been filed for a change in the type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary`order for the pavement of the north one half
of ford Street from the east line of Lake Street to the west line of Iowa Street
under Improvement Resolution No.2093,' the Board this 28th. , day of August,._ 1 28,
hereby makes a final order for light traffic concrete pavement as the type of. pavement
with which said street shall be improved and awards the contract to the `dilli,ston
Construction Company at their low bid of I,513.50.

strut shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement to deith Riley
Construction Company at their low bid of II,388.85.

TTThere are three resident freeholders residing along this improvement, two
of whom has signed the petition asking for concrete paver:ient. This number constitutes
a majority and I �rould therefore recommend that the final order be made for concrete
-cave ment . n
Petition having been filed by a majority of -resident property owners asking
for a chang in the type of pavement from sheet asphalt to concrete for the improvement
on T£inyon treet from Portage Avenue to east line of Lot I8I Nort lwest Addition under
Improvement Resolution No.2I03. the Board this 2 8th., day of august, 1928, hereby
ma?ces a final order for concrete light traffic as the type of ravement with irhi ch said
street shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement to N. N. Barnes
at his lo,.i bid of 4,151.40 for concrete light traffic.
City-6hgineer reports the -remonstrance against the grading improvement on
ror
the first alley south of DuBail Avenue fi Kemblel Avenue to Songlas Street under Impro
vement Resolution No.2I0I, showing a majority against this improvement. The Board
therefore takes final action on said improvement resolution No.2I0I rescinding all
action taken on same and declaring same null and void and the proceedings closed.
This bein:--- the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.2I29
for the grade, curb and walk on ITichiagn Street from Donmoyer Avenye to Jennings ''treet
and the west side only from Jennings to Dean.
In the above named improvement resolution, the Board decides to Continue
hearing on same until September 011. , 1928,

The Board signed, the contract with Rocco Simeri for. the construeti
of the sub trunk severer on 3ergan Itreet from Portage Avenue to . Johnson `'treet and
local server on Johnson 'street from Hamilton 6treet to 'ffilaon Otreet under Improve-
ment Resolution No.2108 in the amount of 13,I96.22. The Board also, approved, the
construction bond of same for 50% of the cont--act -rice signed by '4nnployers Liability
Assurance `'orporation.
The Board gigmed the contract with TI. 1T. Barnes for the pavement
of the Ist. , alley north of LaSalle 1 venue from Lafayette Street to the Ist.' alley
west of T�afayette under Improvement Resolution No.2I04. The Board also approved the
construction bond of same in the amount of T00o of the contract price signed by
United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company.
ih.e Board signed the contract with Alex Bukorvski for the navernent
of the Ist., alley east of 23rd. , Street from Yishawaoa Avenae to 151all Street under
Improvement Resolution "To.2098 in the amount of I,898.00. The Board also approved
the construction bond of sam� in the amount of I00 of the contract price signed by
The United States Guarantee ompany.
The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the Albert construction
Company for the sewer and n avement improvement on Lincoln Yanor Second Addition
under Improvement resolution ''To.2057 for I0 o of the total cost signed by the Inland
Bonding Company.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll
for the serer and r.ave_nent improvement in Lincoln 17anor Second -'Addition under Improve
ment Resolution No.2057.
In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and''
no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advisee_ in the premises,
finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefit ad in the amounts shown
on said primary assessment roll. The Board, #he.refo-re, decides to take final action
on said roll anddeclares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without'
modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll
delivered to the Department of Finance.
This being the date set, hearinc, eras had on the assessment roll
for the sewer and ?pavement improvement in �ioodlawn second 4ddition under Improvement
Resolution-`1o.I986.
In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but
no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed --have been benefited
in the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final
action on said assessment roll and declares sale in all things ratified, _ confirmed
and approved with out modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders
slid assessment roll delivered to -the Department of Finance.
City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the following report on the
petition for the change in the t me of pavement on Victoria 6treet :

"This petition does reflect the choice of a majority of the
resident freeholders but said petition does not conform to the statute and legally
can not be given any consideration in this matter. The statute provides that a
retition of this kind reouesting a change in type of pavement other than designated
in the Board of "orks nrelirminary order must be signed in ink, dated and Fri nessed.
The signatures on thepetition have not been dated or witnessed.

rmrthermore, a portion of this street does not have a water main.
This should ne porvided before entering into contract for the improvement. .

manhole covers at I8.00 each (old covers found to be broken) in connedtion with

City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y`., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several

Claims amounting to 7,290.67 were signed. -:and: -approved by
the Board.
The Board approved the salary of H. G. ;Dray in the
amount of 333.33 and that of Hazel A. Turner in the amount of I00.00 for track elevation
work and hereby orders City Controller to pay same.
The Board signed the contract with 'lestinghouse electric
and manufacutring Company for lighting equipment for the 1"unicipal Air Fort.

improvement Resolution No.2079 in accordance with the terms of the contract between
the City and the Albert Construction Company, contractors. (amount of contract
