Tuesday, l ugust 7th. , 1928. The Board signed the eontnact with Hoban and Roa h for the avement of the alley west of lain street from Navarre Street .to Bartlett Street under Improve9 ment. Resolution No.207I in the a-.,.ount of I, `335.00. The Board also: a-pproved the con- stru,cti�n bond of same in the amount of 50% of the contract price signed by the .Southern Surety o. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the Resolution for the vacation of the Ist. , alley east of-yIalnut 6treet from Dunham street to ample Street under Improvement Resolution No.2I06. In the above named 3lestQn r v resolution, the Board decides. to take final action on said Vacation Resolution and rescinds all former action on same, de- claring same in all . things null and void and the proceedings closed. In the matter of Improvement Resolution No.209I for the avement of the fi rst alley west of Forest. Avenue from Portage Acrenue to Riverside �ive, the Board finds that 22 resident property owners out of 42 have signed the remonstrance. This constitutes a majority and therefore the Board declares all former action taken of same i as null and void and the proceedings closed. In the muter of Improvement resolution 14o.2099 for the pavement of the Ist. 1 alley north of `'orby Street from Niles Avenue to ''tanfield atreet under Improvement 'resolution No.2099, the Board finds that 4 resident property ovm�rs out of 5 have signed this remonstrance. This number constitues a majority and therefore the Board. declares all former action taken on same null and void and all action rescinded and the proceedings closed. Upon the recommendation of vim. F. (walls, the Board approved the petition of the Brehmer Elentrical Companu for installing a flood light standard at the corner of South Yain treet and Yonroe Jtreet. City engineer, H. G. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 8th. , day of August; I928, said Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. 1%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land ttimArilyassessed for said improvement have been or will -benefited i# the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater or less sum than that: shown on said primary assessment roll. The Board further orders that notice of said hearing of assessment roll shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the I6th., day of August, I928, according to law. Claims amounting to 8,902.38 signed and approved by the Board. The Board approved the petition of the -northern Indiana Public `'ervice'; Company to lay gas mains in the east section of the City.
