The Board signed the Ggarantee Bond of the 'dilliston `'onstruction Company for the improvement in IVo odl awn add it io n under Improvemait Resolution No. 2025 and for the pavement on the north one half• of Oakwood Blvd., under Improvement Resolution No.2077 in the amount of 6,449.59 signed by the Inland Bonding Vompany, The Board approved the excavation bond of �he Murphy Plumbing Co., in the amount of I,000.00 signed by Amsterdam Casualty ompany. The Board signed, the cohtract with Eston Ball for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Sampson ''treat from Calvert to Ewing Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2073 in the amount of 3,55I.751 The $oard also approved the constructio bond of same for 100% of the contract price signed by maryland Casualty Co.,. The Board signed the contract with Williston Construction Company for the sewer and pavement improvement in Lincoln Terrace Addition under Improvement_ Resolutio No.2IO2 in the amount of 96,399.60. The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of 50, of the contract price signed by the Inland Bonding "�o. The Board signed the contract with Williston Construction Co., for the pavem and sewer improvement in Angella, Avenue from the east line of Harter Heights "dditi on to Notre Dame Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2I26 in the amount of 55,792.15. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 50% of the contract Brice signer by Inland Bonding 60 o. This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the grading and pavement of Harriett Street from a point 127.2 feet south of the south lino of Yonroe Street to a point 747.9 feet south of the south line of Y'onroe street under Improvement Resolution No.2II9. The Board approved the following partial estimates which was submitted by City Engineer ?T. ". `7ray: Partial estimate or copy of the contract for the pavement and sewer improve- ment in Lincoln Manor Third Addition, in accordance with the terms of the contract betw between the City and Albert `onstruction company, contractors under improvement resolution No.208I. Said contract executed in the amount of 43,I89.95. The Board approved the contract with Gedney &.Sons, Ind., for. the construct -!I ion of the sub trunk sewer on Humboldt Street from Huey 0treet to Nancy 'treet under i± Improvement resolution 1-To.2097 in the amount of 52,019.90. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 50 of the contract price, signed by the National Surety Company of the State of New ork. l This being the date set, hear ing was had on the assessment roll for the nave pent and sewer improvement in +oddlawn Addition under Improvement Resolution No. 2025 and for the pavement of the north ` of Oakwood Blvd., from Portage to Bdverley- Place under Improvement Resolution No.2077,. In the above named assessment roll, no remoras trators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots -nd parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements, have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll and declares same ,in all things ratified, confinrn,.ed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders. said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. City Engineer, FI. G. Wray, reported that the Northwest Trunk "'ewer has been completed under Improvement Resolution Tvo.I7-74 ,.in conformity with the -plans and: specifi cations and contract between the City and the Duggegan Constr�acti,on Co', and_ submitted, t7 Tuesday, July 31st. In the above named assessment roll for the Northwest Trunk Sewer System under Imrrovement Resolution No.1774, the Board hereby orders that on the 9th. , day of August I928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 8 A. Y., to hear and receive receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land,primarily assessed for said improvement, have been or will be benefited or specially benefited in the amounts shovrn on said assessment roll 'or in a greater or less sum than that shown on said primary assessment roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing of assessments shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the Ist. , day of August and on the 8th. , day of August, 1928, according to law. After due consideration, the Board hereby approved said report, and orders said alley improved according to law. • I City Ekigineer filed t :e following report of t-he remonstrance against the l navement of the first alley east of Twenty-third Street between Mishawaka Avenue and 1 Udall Street: There are I8 resident freeholders residing on this improvement, 5 of whom have signed the remonstrance.
