This being the date set, hearings were had on the. following improve- m en t re s olu.t i on s: Improvement Resolution Ho.2087 for the pavement on Altgeld Street from west line of T arine Street to the east line of Miami Heights Addition. Improvement Resolution No.2064 for the pavement on 2a:d. , Street from the south line of the concrete pavement on Jefferson Blvd., to the north end of the St. Joseph River ridge. Improvement Resolution No.2I03 for the pavement on 1 inyon Street from the east line of Portage Avenue to the eastline of Lot 181 in Northwest Addition Improvement Resolution No.2088 for the pavement on Victoria Street from the east curb line of Miami Street to the east line of Miami Heights Addition. pa 6vement Resolution No.2IOI for the grading of the alley south of Dubail Avenue from Kemble Street to Douglas Street. ,In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Fn.girieer.- The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board .now orders that on the 7th. , day of August 31 1928, this Board will receive, openg and consider sealed proposals up to I0100 A. I% for the construction of said improvements. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 26th., day of July and on the arid. , day of August 1928 according to law. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve ment resolutions: Improvement Resolution T1o.2IO4 for the pavement of the first alley north of LaSalle Avenue from Lafayette 'street to the first alley west of Lafayette. Improvement Resolution No. 2093 for the pavement of the north one half of Ford Street from the east line of Lake Street to the west line of Iowa Street. Improvement resolution No.2I00 for the pavement of the west one half of Logan 'street from Mishawaka Avenue to the north end of the St. Joseph River Bridge. Improvement resolution-?o.2095 for the pavement of the east one half of La'-ce "treet from the south line of "ivision Street to the north line of Ford Street: Improvement Resolution No.2094 for the pavement of the south one half of. "estmoor Street from the west line of Olive Street to the east line of Lincoln Manor Third Addition. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take firm action on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. The Board now orders in all of the above named improvement resolutions that on the 7th., day of August, 1928, this Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements -up to I0-00 A. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Iribune on the 26th., day of July and on the 2nd. , day of August, 1928 according to law. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve ment resolutions: Lmprovement Resolution No.2099 for the pavement of the first alley north of 0orby treet from Niles Avenue to Stanfield Street. Improvement Resolution No.209I for the pavement of the alley west of Forest Avenue from Portage Avenue to a point six and four tenths feet (6.4) north of the north line of the first alley south of Riverside 'rive. Improvement Aesolution 110.2098 for the pavement of the first alley east of 23rd. , street from ?i�ishawal�a avenue to Mall Street. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators. appeared and written remonstrances were filed. after hearingall persons interested in said improvements and being fully advised in the pretis es, the Board finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of lam liable_ to be assesed for said improvement will be equal. to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City. • 1�1 • • VTednesday Evening July 25th. , 1928. 1173 :gngineer. This being the date set, hearing was had on improvement resolution No.,2I05 fpr the pavement of the f i^s t alley west of Cottage Grove Avenue from Lincoln W west to Van Buren street. ay In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance was filed- The Board, after hearing all persons interested in said improvement decides to take final action onsame and declares said resolution null and void and all former proceedings had rescinded and the proceedings closed. • The Board s �Led the contract with C. E. Reesh for the subb-trunk sewer in °good Avenue from Huey treet to Goodlawn Avenue under Improvement 1,1*esoiution No.2096, in the amount of I4,386.70. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for I00% of the contract price signed by the United States Guarantee company, The Board signed the contract with "dillist on'Construe tion company for the pavement of the north of Oakwood Blvd., from Portage Avenue to Beverley Place under Improvement Resolution No.2077 in the amount of Irp663.82. The Board also approved the construction bond of same in the amount of 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Company. The Board signed the contract with `til, iston Constnuction Company for the pavement of portions of Cherry, Arnold, Huron, r alnut, -Oivision, Harris, and cord Streets in connection with Pra ck Elevation under Improvement Resolution No. 2I07, the amount of the contract being 60,206.60. The Board also approved the construction bond of .same signed by Inland Bonding Company for 50% of the contract price. The Board signed the contract with Williston Construction Company for the sewerei and pavement improvement on streets in Belleville Third Unit under Improvement Resalutiori No.2I24$ in the amount of 69,IF.50. The Board also approved the construction bond of same signed by Inland Bonding ompany for 50% of the contract price. The Board a -proved the Guarantee bond of neith Miley Constrnet�'ompany for the pavement of streets in `orris Park Addition under Imp�ion rovement esolution o. 1981, signed by Southern Surety Co. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of E. T. Tranberg for the-mvement of the alley west of Sherman Avenue from Oak 'street to Lincoln '��ay "±est under Improvement Resolution No.2015. signed by The Employers Liability Assurance Company. This being the date set, hearing was had on Comdemnation jievolution 1io.2086 for the comdemnation of the following described prorerty: "'Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot.D?o.8 Bronsons ''urvey (which point • is also in the west line of the Ist. , alley east of Michigan ''tre et) thence westerly along the south line of said lot No.8 to the easterly line of 1.iichigan Street; thence south along the sa-d easterly line of Yichigan street fourteen feet (I41), thence east parallel to and fourteen feet (I4T) south of the south line of said Lot No.8 Bronsons _i.rvey one hundred fifty six and forty six one hundredths feet (I56.46.1) , thence south easterly to a point in the westerly line of the first alley east of I. ichigan '8treet (which point is nineteen feet (19 T) south of the southea -t corner of Lot No.8 Bronsons Surve*; thence north e--long the west line of said above mentioned alley nineteen feet, (191) to the -al ace of beginning." In the above named condemnation resolution, owner of Lot 8 appeared and remonstrated against said condemnation and the Board, being fully advised in the premise . decides to ta'�-e final action on said resolution and declares same in all things ratified confirmed and approved as originally adptvted. The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners afd- operty and of valuable interests therein sought to be ta_cen or to be injuriously affected bar .]said condemnation, said roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such condemnati on. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of I,622.06. City '`'ngineer, H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate NO. -I for the grade, curb and walk imrr overrent on�in 8treet from "�aod3ide ''treet to Dean Avenue, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the ity and "hitcomb and Teller under Improvement Resolution No.I847. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 29828.04. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll- for the pavement of the -alley west of ''herm�,n �renue from Oak 8treet to Lincoln "lay ,'lest under Improvement Resolution 1vo.2015. In the above named assessment roll no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the -premises, finds that the several lots and parcel s of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said primary assessment roll. The Board therefore takes final action on said assessment roll, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the ;proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Depart- ment of Finanace. Bids having been received for the pavement of Angella Avenue from east line of Harter heights Addition to Notre Dame Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 2126, the Board this 25th., day of July, I928, hereby awards the contract for said improver ent to `�illiston Construction Company at their low bid of 55,792.I5 for the sheet asphalt heavy traffic pavement.' The Board signed the contract with the Rybolt Heating Qompany for the heating plant at the 1�unic ipal Ai r' fort in the sum of 2I5.00.
