contract for said improvement to C. F. Reesh at his low bid of 420.00.
Bids having been received for the local sewer improvement in Elwood _Avenue
under Improvemment Resolution No.2084, the Board this i7th., day of July I928.,..hereby
awards the contract for said improvement to C. E. Reesh at his low bid of 29 794.50.
Bids having been received for the local sewer improvement in Huey Street and
Improvement Resolution No.20903, the .Board this I7th. , day of ._July, I928, hereby awards
the contract for said improvement to Edward .Di Julio at his low bid of 5,122.60.

This being the date set, hearing was on the following assessment rolls-.,-'
assessment roll for the pavement on Brookef iled 13treet from Humboldt
Street to Vassar Avenue under Improvement -Resolution No.2031.
Assessment roll for the pavement on college. Street from iIumbol.dt Street,
to Vassar Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2029.
In both of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared
and no written remonstrance ias filed and the Board, being. fully advised in the -pre-
mises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said
improvements have been benefited in the amounts shown on said assessment, rolls.. The
Board, therefore, takes files action on said assessment molls, filed July. IOt h. , . I928,.'
and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification
and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to
the Department of Finance.

the improvement -n Miami ''treet under Improvement Resolution No.2.060 in 9e..amount of
70,373.08. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for 501, of.the
contract price signed by southern Surety Co.
the Board signed the contract with J. J. Dunnegan for. the subtrunk
sewer system improvement on Sheridan Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2071-,
in the amount of �34,290.00 '. The Board also approved the construction bond of _same
for 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Co.

City -�Ingineer, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted
said plans and specifications together with dthe resolution No.2II9 as follows:
"BF IT RESOLVED BY THE B ARD OF PUBLIC 1.70RKS OF THE CITY ON SOUTH B',ND,
ST. JOS "PH COUNTY INDIANA, that it is desired and deemed necessary to improve
nHarriett Street from a point one. hundredtwenty seven and two tenths
feet (I27.21) south of the south line of 1'7o roe Street to a point seven hundred forty
seven and nine tenths feet (747.91) south of the south line of Monroe atreet.
Said street shall be graded from property line to property line, and the road �I
way thereof shall be paved, and also t-.he roadwak of certain portions of the streets I
and alleys which enter or intersect said street shall be graded and paved. The paving '•`
mate ial to be used in making said improvement shall be sheet asphalt, asphaltic !�
concrete, brick or Cortland cement concrete pavement. The foundation shall be
portland cement concrete six inches (6") thick for the sheet asphalt, asphaltic concrete
and brick. curb wall, concrete walk and concrete curb shall be constructed along said
street where same is necessary. Manholes, storm water inlets and conduits shall be
constructed where necessary. Also water and sewer connections shall be constructed �!
from the differeht mains to a point six inches (6") incide Of the curb lines, where
necessary. All man hole tops and storm vy.ter inlets shall be set to the proper grade.
Concrete marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and alley intersections where
necessary; all as is more tiarticularly shown and all in accordance with the plans,
profiles, detail drawings and s ecifications on file in the office of the d. epartment
of Public �Jorks of the "ity of outh Bend, Indiana.
The cost of the improvement herein provided for shall be apportioned in
accordance with Tback Elevation act, approiaed 1��arch I, 1923, as shown in Burns Revised
Statutes of the State of Indiana, 1926, Section 10541.

advised in the premises, takes final action of said improvement resolution, and declares;
same in all thugs ratified, confirmed and .approved. This action is taken in compliance;
with the Track levation Act, approved Varoh Ist. , 1923, as shown in Burris Revised
Statutes of the State of Indiana, 1926, Section I054I.
The Board now orders that on the 3Ist. , day of July, 1928, this Board
will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement
up to 10:00 A. M. The Board farther orders that notices of said proposals shall be

orders that on the 8th. , day of August. 1928, this Board will meet in their office in
the City Hall at 7-I5 P. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persosra whose
property is liable to be assessed for said improvement and ,well decide whether the
benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro-
vements will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engin-
eer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the
19th. , day of July and on the 26th. , day of July 1928, in the South Bend News Times
and Tribune and that notices be mai led , to property owners according to law.
