The Board approved the renewal certificate for the ;bond of the
Indiana Bell Telephone Co., for I,000.00, signed by Southern Surety do., of Ilew York.
The Board approved the following Guarantee or Isintenance Bonds:
Guarantee Bond of C. F„ Reesh for the sewer in _Robinson :Street
under Improvement Resolution :Ro.I974 signed by the Yetropolitan Casualty COS.
for 1128.46.
Guarantee Bond of Alex Bukowski for the pavement of,the alley
north of Napoleon Blvd., from Leeper Avenue to Ist. , alley east of..ftanfield Street
under Imrovement Resolution Iqo.,I9H, signed by the United Mates Fidelity &
Guaranty 'Go. , for379.I7.
Guarantee Bond of Alex Bukowski for the pavement of the alley
west of Iaple Street from Napier Street to alley north oT Jefferson Street under
Improvement Resolution No.I959, signed bu United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co.,

In accordance lidth the terms of the contrsct between the City and T. Tranbergm
contractor, under Improvement Resolution No.2015. The Board signed and approved
same in the amount of 2,117.01
The Board approved the copy of the contract for the pavement
with heavy traffic sheet asphalt, of Bertrand Street from Johnson street. to Bendix
Drive, in accgrdanc e with the terms of the contract between the City and the Albert
Construction 0o. , under .Improvement Resolution No.1955. The Board signed and
approved same in the amount of 3I,8I5.92.
The Board approved the copy of the contraet for the pavement,
with light traffic sheet asphalt pavement on Dorothy Street from south line of
concrete pavement on Prairie Avenge to Ewing Avenue under Improvement Resolution
No. 2012 in accordance with the t e »ms of the contract between the City and the
Albert Construction Co. The amount of the contract being 7,648.12.
The Board signed the contract with the Albert Construction Co: ,
for the ravement of 36th. , Street from Yishawaka Avenue to North Side Blvd. , under
Improvement Resolution No.2OI4. The Board also approved the construction bond for
same for 50� of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Oo.
The Board signed the contract with -Alex Bukowski for the pavement .
on ]Aving Avenue grom the west line of Leer street to Ernsperger Street under Impro
vement Resolution No.20I6. The Board also approved thS construction bond for

fhe Board signed the eongract with Earl E. Zimmer for the p2vernent

to Michigan Street under Improvement resolution No.2040. The Board also approved'

The Board signed the contract with C. H. ELdred for the pavement
of 30th. , Street from rtiishawaka Avenge to North Side Blvd., under improvement
Resolution No.2OI3. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for
100% of the contract price signed by Yaryland Casualty ''o.
The Board signed the contract with 7. J. Neese Go. for the pavement
on sample Street from a point 308 feet west of the west line of Belleville Ist. ,
Unit to west line of right of way of the New Jersey Indiana & Illinois R. R., under
Improvement Resolution No.2037. The. Board also ar-proved the construction bond for
50% of the contract trice signed by ''outhern 6-arety o.
The Board signed t,.e contract with Albert Construction. Go., for the
sewer and ravement improvement on streets in Lincoln 1.4anor 2nd. , Addition. under
Improvement Resolution No. 2057. The Board also approved the construction bond , for
same for 50% of the c ont ^act price signed by the �outhern Surety Co.

Belleville Ist. , Unit Addition under Improvement Resolution No,2062, the Board this

Bids having been received for the pavement improvement in Northwest
Addition under ImTrovement Resolution No.206I, the Board his 5th., day of Jane, 1928,
hereby awards the contract for said improvement to Reith t 'ley Construction Co. , at
'their Iww bid of 54,904.10 for sheet asphalt light traffic pavement.
Bids having been received for the pavement and sewer improvement
on O'Brien 'treet from north line of Marquette Park Ist. , Addition to Hamilton Street
under Improvement Resolution P1o.2082, the Board this 5th. , day of Jae, 1928, hereby
awards the contract for said improvement to ffilliston Construction �o., at their bid
of 5,I32.I6 for sheet asphalt light traffic pavement.

between Olive Street and Beidix Drive under Imove
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
on the 20th. , day of June, 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall
at 7-I5 P. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has
been assessed for said improvement and will decide whtthrr the several lots and parcels
of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or
in a meat er or less sum than that shown on said roll. The .Board further orders that
notices of said hearing shall be published in the South Bend News Times and ribune
on the 8th. , day of June and on the I5th. , day of June, 1928, according to law.
City ngineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board Adopted a
resolution for the vacation of a portion of Pine `'treet under Vacation esolution No.
2058. (Insert see files for copy of resolution.)
In the above named Vacation Resolution, the Board hereby orders that
on the 27th., day of June, I928, this Board will reet in their office in the City Hall
at 7-I5 P. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all -persons whose property may
be affected by said vacation. The Board further orders that notices . of said hearing
shall, be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 6th. , day of June
and on the I5th. , day of June, I928, according to law.
Claims amounting to 426.96 signed and approved by the Board.
The Boa rd approved a claim of the Mutual Detective Agency in the
amount of 4705.00 to be paid out of the Track Elevation Fund and hereby orders the
controller to pay same.
