The Board signed the contract with Meth Riley Construction Company for the pavement on Stanfield Street from the north line of Rowa.rd Street to the north line of St. Vincent Street under Improvement Resolution No.I995 in the - amount of 5,695.25. The Board also approved the construction bond for same for 50 of the contract price signed by Southern Surety Co. No petitions having been filed for a change tn the type of pavement for the improvemtn of Chapin Street under Improvement Aesolution.No.2005 other than that specified in the preliminary order, the Boarl this I5th., day of May hereby orders said strebt shall be' paved with Sheet Asphalt pavement heavy traffic and awarder the contract for said improvement to Williston Construction Co... at their low bid of $52,072.76 for sheet asphalt heavy traffic pavement. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estivate and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the west one-half of Logan Street from b-ishawaka Avenue to the north end of the St. Joseph River Brid e under Improvement Resolution No.2063. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the first alley west -of Miami Street from Broadway to Indiana Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2065. In the above named improvement resolution, the Board, hereby, .orders that on the 6th., day of June„ 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Meeting adjourned at II-30 A. 11. Ittested: I! WEDNE'SDAY EVENING MAY I6th. , 1928. Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. 11. John J. Ole jniczak absent. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on assessment roll for the opening of Palmer Boulevard under Condemnation Resolution No.19I5. In the above named assessment roll, the remonstrators appeared and the Boardbeing fully advised in the premises , decides to rescind all action taken on said Condemna- tion Resolution No.19I5 and declares all former action taken on same null and void and the proceedings closed. This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolutinn. No.2054 for the pavement of the first alley east of Clinton Street frmm Sample Street to tn.e first alley north of Sample Street.v (;See files for copy of resolution.) In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City -Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to over rule said written remonstrance and declares said improvement Resolution No.20b4 in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board now orders said written remonstrance delivered to the City Engineer for acheck on the resident property ovrners. This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.2062 for the pavement and sewer improvement of streets in Belleville Ist. , Unit Addition. (See files for copy of resolution,) In the above named improvement resolution,, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in '! the premises, finds -Ghat the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, takes final -action on said Improvement Resolution No.2062 and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. Thi., being the date set, hearing vas had on Improvement Resolution No.2061 for the pavement of streets in Northwest Addition. (See files for resolution.) In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and pardels of land liable to be .assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City engineer.
