Iray absent. -Due to the large number of persons in attendance, the meeting adjourned to the Council Chambers, The Board approved the renewal certificate for the bond of Ilbert W. Zmith, si g.ed by the Metropolitan Casualty Insurance o., of New York., This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assess- ment roll for the grade, curb and wal.k improvement on Chicago Street from Division Street to Jefferson Blvd., under Improvement Resolution No.I829. • In the above named assessment roll the Board decides to continue same until April 24th. , 1928 at 10:00 A. M. This being the date set, hearings were had on the follming improvement resolutions:e Improvement Resolution No.2032 for the local sewer on Johnson Street from Vassar Street to Elwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2026 for the local sewer on Adams Street between Vassar and Humbolt Street. (See filers for copy of resolution.) • Improvement Resolution No.2034 for the local sewer on O'Brien Street between Vassar and Elwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.2023 for the local serer on Merry .Avenue between Grant Stree and Meade Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) . In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators W ;appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on all • of the above named improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified,. ::confirmed and approved. The Board now orders that on the Ist. , day of I+lay, 1928, this Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the above named sewers up to I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said sealed proposals shall be published on the I9th. , day of A.oril and on the 26th. , day of April 1928 in the South Bend News mimes and Tribune, according to law. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement resolutions: 'ti+oodside • Improvement Resolution No.2000 for the pavement on Stfeet from Michigan Street to Fellows Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution 11o.2009 for the pavement on Calvert Street from west line of Sampson Street to Ernsperger Street. (See files for copy of resolution.;) Improvement Resolution No. 20I0 for the pavement on Calvert Street from Kline Street to Sampson. ( See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.20I2 for the pavement of Dorothy Street from south line of concrete pavement on Prairie Avenue to Eviing Avenue. ( See files for jcopy of resolution.) • Improvement Resolution No.20II for the pavement and widening and installation of lighting system on Chapin Street from the south curb line of Washington Avenue to the south line of Monroe Street running west from Chapin Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, i10 remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed, and the Board, being filly advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as report- ed by the City Civil Engineer. Wend e s day r�__ ening, April Ilth. , 1928 , IR 0 • • • 0 In all of -the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators appeared. ! and written remonstrances were filed and: the Board, being fully advised in the premises I� finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Civil Baiginner. The Board, therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrances and declares said improvement resolutions, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board n.osd orders said written remonstrances i delivered to the City, Engineer for final check as to resident property owners. l City En.ginner, filed the primary assessment roll for the grading improve- ment of the alley south of Calvert titre et from Chapin wtreet to Kendall Street under Improvement Resolution No.I966. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the I8th. , day of April 1923, this Board will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less amount. The Board fmrther orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the Nth., day I April and on the I4th. , day of April, 1928, in the South Bend News Times and lr ibune , according to law.
