I.50 City-'ngineer, H. G. Wray, filed the following report on the remonstrance against the pavement of the alley north of Washington from alnut Street to Studebaker Street under Improvement Resolution No.I989; • "There are I2 resident property holders, residing on this improvement, 7 of whom have signed the remonstrance. 'his number constitutes a majority and I would therefore recommend that no further action be taken in this matter. Very truly yours, H. G. Wray. " The Board approved Yr. "Wray's recommendation in the matter of the above remonstrance and rescinds all former action taken on Improvement Resolution No.I989 and declares same null.and void and the procee(7ings closed. • City engineer, H. G. " ray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of Oample Street from a b-int 308 feet west of the west line of Belleville Ist., Unit to the crest line of �elle- ville 3rd. , Unit under Improvement Resolution No. 2020. In the above named improvement resolution, property ovmers filed a waiver, waiving all objections on and in defense to any defect in said porceedings and to any violation in poreedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law. Whereupon the Board, opened and read bids for the construction of said improvement as follows: Bids of W. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for I' • the' grade, curb and walk improvement on Victoria Street from Marine Street to Clyde Street under Improvement Resolution No.1279. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no 2_& Tuesday, 1Iarch 20t.h. , 1928,. written remonstrance was filed; and theoarcl, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land. Primarly assessed for said improve ment have been benefited in the amounts named on salad assessment roll. The Board, thdrefore`, taken final action on said assessment roll and dedl.ares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceeding closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of inance. City. Engineer, H. G. Wray-, ,filed plans, specifications and estimates and -the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions: Improvement Resolution No.20I5 for the pavement of the alley crest of Sherman • '; Avenue from Oak Street to Lincoln V ay West. ( See files for resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.20I6 for the pavement of Axing Avenue from west line of Leer Street to Ernsperger Street. (See riles for resalution. ) Improvement Resonation No.20I7 for the grade, _curb and walk improvement on I entueky 6treet from Crumstovan Soa.d to Lincoln hi ay '� est. (See files for resolution. U • • 0 E 0 Improvement Resolution No.2018 for the grade, curb and walk on (Orange Street from Birdsell Street to alley west of Birdsell ►street. (See files for resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.20I9 for the pavement on 35th., street from south line of concrete pavement on Jefferson Blvd., to Mishawaka Avenue. (See files for resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby , orders ghat on the I8th. , day of April. 1928, this Board will meet in their. office in the `'ity Hall at 7-15 P. M. to hear and receive remonstrances from all ersons �vhose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and $reels of land liable to be assessed for said -improve- ments, will equal the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Aagineer. The Board further orders, that notices of said h-arings shall be published in the youth Bend News Times and Tribune on the 30th. , day of If -arch and on the 6th. , day of .April I928 and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law. City engineer, H. G. Fray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for the sewer improvement on I=erry Avenue between Grant Street and Meade Street under Improvement Resolution No.2023. In the above named improvement resolution, tae Board hereby orders that on the Ilth. , day of April, 1928, this Board will meet in their o ffice in the City Ball at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to t ,Le estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published in the South Bend T•aet-ds Times and Tribune on the 30th., day of March and on the 6th. , day of April 1928, according to law.
