All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Also approved today were the Restrictive Convenants for Brentwood Estates Fourth Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, Count of St. Joseph. Placed on file in the office of the Board of Public Works & Salfety. Dedication of Plat of Brentwood Estates Fourth Addition being a Replat of Part of Alword's Addition to the City of South Bend Count of St. Joseph, $tate of Indiana, and placed on file in the office of the Contractor's bond are hereby approved for J. C. Gillstrap Construction Company, John Rose, and Thomas L. Hickey, Inc. Upon recommendation of the Building Commissioner the appointment of one John Graybarz as Building Inspect is hereby approved by the Board as of the 16th day of April, 1957. Verner L. Lane, Building Commissioner, requests permission for himself and his Plumbing Inspector to atte school at Purdue University on the 25th and 26th days of April, 1957. Dany Richardson, Street Commissioner, hereby submits to the'Board a weekly report of the Street Depa repairs of streets. Accepted and placed. on file in the office of the Board of Public Works. The Street Department and The Police Department have been requested to co-ordinate within the two depart- 11 ments to work out a Street Cleaning Program for this year and a final report is to be submitted to the Board as to the solution that the 2 departments will use. I Permission is now granted to Danny Richardson and Bill Sweeney to attend Indiana Road School at Purdue versity on 22, 23, 24, and 25th day of April, 1957. The Plat of Greene's First Addition to the City of South Bend in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana is hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of April, 1957. A petition was received asking for the improvement of Duey (North) street from Howard Street to South Ben Avenue by the construction of a local sewer according the Barret Law program. Petition hereby referred t the City Engineering Department for further investigation and recommendation. An agreement by and between Indiana & Michigan Electric Company and the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana for the construction of street lighting on West Indiana Avenue from Franklin Street to Prairie Avenue is now approved and signed by the Board, dated this 15th dayof April, 19':,57. City Hall will be closed all day on Friday, April 19, 1957 and offices will reopen on Saturday, April 20,j 1957 until 12 o'clock noon. Other departments will be open until noon on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, { April 20, 1957.
