HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/21/57 Board of Public Works Special Meeting Minutes561 0 • • :7 is • • FEBRUARY 21, 1957 A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held in the Council Chambers on Thursday, February 219 1957 at 2:00 P.M. All members were present. Also present were Nicholis Ch61is and W. Anderso`i. The purpose of the meeting was solely to complete the proposed change of routes 6fz the Bus Company. The following persons appeared before the Board: Mrs. W. L. Ludders, re: route change in the extreme west! end of Ford Street; Mrs. Grant, re: Playland Park area; Mrs. Kuntz, re: Bendix bus line. Mr. Cholis reported that in areas where school buses were needed to transport children back and forth to school that such buses would continue their respective routes. ; Also, noted at this time was the following amendment to proposed route: St. Mary's The St. Mary's route is to be amended by adding the following: The inbound St. Mary's bus West on Angela Blvd. to Marquette, and East to Tonti, East to Hillcrest, South to Wakewa, East to Michigan Streit and in to town. This route will initiate in the morning peak at approximately 9:30 A.M. For the afternoon peak, approxi- mately 2:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. the reverse of the above route will in in effect. Matter of other bus changes will be taken under advisement and the Board will make its finding at its regu lar meeting on Monday, February 25, 1957. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30 P.M. Michael Barany and Howard Rerick to obtain Certain right-of-ways for the ex- Itension of the improvement program designed for Indiana Avenue from Michigan Street,to Prairie Avenue. A letter was received from the City Planning Commission favorably recommending the petition for the vacation !'of the 10 foot public walk from York Road to the East line of Broadmoor Fourth Section. The Petition is i ;!hereby referred to the Engineering Department for preparation of a Vacation Resolution. An application for permit to occupy 8' of ew alley along the side "of 315 S.
