Permission is hereby granted to the Association of Commerce for the closing of Main Street between -.Washington and Jefferson Streets on the 21st day of November, 1956 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. for their 1annual Thankful Community Program and also permission is granted to said Association for their annual parad 'of the arrival of Santa Claus to be held on Friday, November 23, 1956 commencing at 9 :00 A.M. The Clerk ,of the Board is authorized to clear said matters with the Traffic Division of the Police Department, the ;;Traffic Engineering Department, and also, the Street Department. Permission is further granted to the ;'Association of Commerce to place Christmas Decoration in front of the City Hall.' i The Board hereby approves the plat of William S. Moore submitted to the Board of the Pastor's Addition ;to the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana which reads as follows: PASTOR'S PLAT is located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 37, Range North, 3 East, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana and is a replat of Lot No. 379 Ford's Sub -division; also Lots 82 to 89 inclusive in Riverdale Second Plat, vacated Thirty Sixth Street West half of vacated alley on East Side and East half of vacated alley on West side, also the land lying immediately South of the Southerly line of Riverdale Second Plat and the Northerly line of St. Joseph River, more particularly described as follows: To Wit. The Plat contains 4 lots numbered from one to four inclusive. The size of the lots and width of Northside Boulevard are markded in feet and fractions thereof. A petition was received asking for the improvement of Pershing Street Sewer from the existing manhole] located 149 feet west of Johnson and Pershing Streets to the intersection of Pershing and proposed Elmer by the construction of 12" sewer according to Barrett Law Plan. Johnson, for the Seven Day Adventist Church to carol !in the residential areas of South Bend, Indiana during the month of December subject to the condition that the funds which are collected are used for charitable purposed and not for funds for the church building . Comes now Floyd L. Searer and Harry Swanson with reference to purchasing from the city a piece of pro erty,namely Lot 57 in Jefferson Heights Addition. The Board now approves the sale of said property to Swa son and will proceed with the legal measures connected with said purchase. Mr. Paul J. Schwertley appeared before the Board on behalf of a property owner in connection with Improvement Resolution No. 2838 of Huron Street Sewer . Matter to be further discussed with the City. Engi- neer, A petition was received from Tri-Way Builders asking for the improvement of Bergan Street from Johns ;Street to Bendix Drive by the construction of a Trunk Sewer according to Barrett Law Plan. Petition here :referred to the City Engineering Department for investigation. The Board hereby approves the sewer construction plan in Twyckenham Hills Addition on Twyckenham Driv from Miner Street to Sorin Street. A petition was recieved from Mrs. Alex Trok, 2303 West Dunham Street and others to eliminate a public nuisance, namely, smoke, health hazard and vermin infested property in the 2200 block of Dunham Street.
