VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2839

RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is desirable to va
(" cate the following:
1. The North and South alley between Falcon Street and Kenmore Street running from Jefferson
Street North to Washington Street.
• 2. The north and south alley between Kenmore Street and Wellington Street running from Jefferson
j Street North to Washington Street.
3. The East and West alley, between Jefferson Street and Washington Street running from Wellington
Street east to Falcon Street.
The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation:
Lots numbered 1054 - 1055 - 1066 - 1067 - 1074 - 1075 - and 453 to 464 inclusive, Part of
Second Plat of LaSalle Park
Notice Of this resolution shall be published on the 20th day of July and on the 27th day of July, 1956
in the South Bend Tribune and The Record.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 6th day of August, 1956 at 10:00 A.M. (DST) will
and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
Adopted.this 16th day of July, 1956.

A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, July 23, 1956 at 10:00 A.M. (DSp .
All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Claims in the
total amount of $533,493.35 were approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers:_ The list of these `q
suppliers is in the July 23rd meeting of the Board of Safety ledger.
. Mr. George Lamphier appeared for the Oliver Corporation and inquired about the assessment of the
Oliver Corporation for the Huron Street Sewer.
Excavation bonds was examined and approved for McIntyre & Jones Company.
Contractor's bonds were approved for Joseph Rothwell.
Special policemen bonds were examined and approved for George Doy, Robert N. Osborn, Donald James
Wahl, James Arlen Nevins, Abraham Hoogenboom, Edward J. Pilarski, and George N. Beamer.
iI A petition was filed and approved for the construction of a permanent type residential pavement on
34th Street from East Jefferson to East Washington Street and the petition was referred to the City Engineer's
!!Department.
The following plans were approved: Ardmore Trail Street Plan in Brentwood Estates, Sheridan Avenue
;plans in Brentwood Estates) Sheridan Plaza, Roxebury Plaza, and Surrey Lane Street Plan in Brentwood Estates,
;;Brentwood Drive Pavement Plan in Brentwood Estates, Woodbine Way and Brentwood Drive plans in Brentwood Es-
. 11tates, and Ardmore Trail Street plans in Brentwood Estates.
A stop sign was installed on the notthwest corner of alley that dead ends into East Madison Street
one-half block east of Michigan Street.

1. An estimate of costs was filed.

tract was filed and approved. Futthermore, the final order was filed and approved.

vacate the following:
THE EAST AND WEST ALLEY BETWEEN LOTS NUMBERED 23 and 24, PART OF STULL'S SECOND ADDITION
The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation:
Lots numbered 23 and 24 Part of Stull's Second Addition.
Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 3rd day of August and on the loth day of Aug-
ust, 1956 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and The Record.

vacate the following:
1. The first north and south alley west of Logan Street south of Northside Boulevard.
2. Thirty-sixth Street south of Northside Boulevard subject to 20 foot easement over center
line of sewer.
3. The first east and west alley west of Thirty-sixth Street and south of Northside Boulevard.
4. The first north and south alley west of Thirty-sixth Street south of Northside Boulevard.
The Following property -may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation:
Lots numbered 379 and 383 Fords Sub -division
Lots numbered 82 to 89 inclusive, Part of Riverdale Seebnd Plat
and
Lot numbered 19 Corporans and Ducks Sub -division
