It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for capital and other non-personnel expenditures necessary for the City's effective provision of services to its citizens which were not included when the City's 2010 operating budget was adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Fend, Indiana, as follows: Section I. ZIENTARA CONTROLLER November 18, 2009 Mr. Derek Dieter President, South Bend Common Council 4th Floor, County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Re: Ordinance Appropriating Funds for Capital Expenditures in 2010 Dear President Dieter: When the South Bend Common Council passed the City's 2010 budget on September 28, 2009 it did not include expenditures for many capital and other non-personnel needs. The attached ordinance appropriates $4,034,104.00 from various capital funds for capital expenditures in 2010. This ordinance is a companion to another ordinance submitted this date which also appropriates monies from the General Fund and other tax revenue funds in the sum of $5,864,699.00. I will present this ordinance to the Common Council at its Committee meeting and public hearing and will be happy to answer any questions that Council members may have.
