All members were present. Matters with reference to Vacation Resolution No. 2835, Vacation Resolution No. 2837, and Im- provement Resolution No. 2836 were discussed. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2835, 1956 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is desirable to vacate the following: THE SOUTH 4.6' OF LOT 29 COLLEGE GROVE ADDITION and the NORTH 4.6' OF LOT 32 COLLEGE GROVE ADDITION. THIS ALLEY (9.2) RUNS FROM BROOKFIELD STREET, WEST TO VACATED JOHNSON STREET. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected bysuch vacation: Lots numbered 29 and 32 - COLLEGE GROVE ADDITION Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 25th day of May and on the 1st day of June, 1956 in the South Bend Tribune and The Record. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 4th day of June, 1956 at 10:00 A.M. (DST) will; hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. Smith BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2837, 1956 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is desirable to vacate the following: THE FIRST NORTH AND SOUTH ALLEY WEST OF MEADE STREET, FROM BONDS AVENUE, SOUTH TO THE NORTH LINE OF THE EAST AND WEST ALLEY SOUTH OF BONDS AVENUE. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation Lots numbered 97 and 98 - LINCOLN MANOR ADDITION Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 25th day of May and on the 1st day of June, 1956 in the South Bend daily Tribune and Record This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 4th day of June, 1956 at 10:00 A. Smith BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2836 PRELIMINARY PLANS REPORTED Charles W. Cole & Son, Civil Engineers, hereby report and file the Drawings, Plans, Estimates and the Preliminary.Improvement Resolution for the improvement of Sibley Avenue from the West property line of College Street to the East property line of Brookfield Street by constructing a Class "C" pave- ment (Types 1 to 4). IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2836 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that; it is deemed necessary to improve Sibley Avenue from the West property line of College Street to the East!' property line of Brookfield Street by draining, grading, and paving with a Class "C" pavement (Types 1 to 4). 'I i - i 482 The same to be done in accordance with the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, and Specifications for such improvement approved May 21, 1956, and to be adopted by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, immediately upon the final adoption and confirmation of this resolution, and placed -'.on file in the Office of the Board of Public Works and Safety of siad City, and such improvement is now ordered. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2836 BOARD APPROVES FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS The Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estimates for the improvement of Sibley Avenue from the West Property line of College Street to the East Property line of Brookfield Street by constructing a class "C" pavement (Types 1 to 4) are hereby approved. Smith BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS 8 SAFETY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2836 NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS Notice is hereby given by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that it is deemed necessary to make the following described public improvement in the City of South Bend, Indiana, authorized by the following numbered Improvement Resolution, passed by said Board on the 21st day of May, 1956. Improvement Resolution No. 2836, 19561, for the improvement of Sibley Avenue from the West property line of College Street to the East property line of Brookfield Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement (Types 1 to 4). All work done in the making of said described public improvement shall be in accord- ance with the terms and conditions of Improvement Resolution No. 2836, 1956, passed by the Board of Public Works and Safety on the above named day, and the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specification and Estimates to be adopted by the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, upon the final adoption and confirmation of said Resolution and placed on file in the office of the Board of Public Works and Sa- fety of said City. I The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet in its office in the City Hall on the 12th day of June, 1956 at the hour of 7:30 A.M. (DST) for the purpose of hearing and considering all re- ! monstrances, which may have been filed or which may be presented and will hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by said proposed improvement, and will decide whether the benefit that will accrue to the property abutting and adjacent to the proposed improvement and to said City, will be equal to or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvement as estimated by the City Civil Engineer.
