A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works & Safety was held Monday, April 2,
1956 at 10:00 A.M. (DST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular

A request was submitted to the Board by Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, for the"
American Trust Company to establish a sidewalk teller at the curb on the Washington Street
entrance to the Bank. The Traffic Engineer having made a finding of the request now rec-1
'ommends that the request of said company be denied. Board approves the recommendation of
the Traffic Engineer.

A request of the Pilot Club to erect a road sign on South Michigan Street was sub-
mitted to the Board and referred to the Traffic Department.

The River Park business area request permission to establish a 2-hour time limit
;regulation in front of business establishments. Matter referred to Traffic Engineer to
;determine more specific area.
Request of Roger B. Francis, Librarian of the Public Library, for change in par in 'j
meter limit,. of the Three parking meters in front of the Library on Main Street from 3b mir}-
lutes to 12 minutes was granted by the Board.

Sollitt Construction Company submitted forms No. 19 and 105 representing Workmen's
Compensation and Occupational Diseases Act for the State of Indiana. Expires April 1, 157.

A report from Traffic Engineer with reference to Johnson -Orange St. warning gates
was submitted to the Board and ordered filed.
STOP signs were installed at the following locations:
Sorin Street, both sides, at Jacob Street
Fox Street, both sides, at Sampson Street
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:35 A.M. (DST).
