SPECIAL MEETING
December 8, 1955
A special meeting of the Board of. Public Works was held Thursday, December 8, 1955,
at 2:00 P. M. for the purpose of taking action on the Beverley Place sewer.
FINAL CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION No. 2820 - 1955
For the improvement of Beverley Place from the existing. Manhole at Lot #36 to
Lathrop Street, by constructing a local combined sanitary and storm sewer under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 2820, 1955, adopted November 7, 1955, and first confirmed on November,
28, 1955t
No written remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of fifty-
one per cent or more of the resident property owners on said street to be improved,
having been filed within the ten day period following the date and time of the hearing on,
,said improvement, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2820, 1955, duly adopted by this Board on
November 7, 1955, and first confirmed on November 28, 1955, be and the same is in all
things finally confirmed and the improvement is hereby ordered made.

PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC .WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
:INDIANA, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and
;Estimates approved by this Board on the 7th day of November, 1955, for the improvement
of Beverley Place from the existing manhole at Lot #36 to Lathrop Street, by constructing.,
'a local combined sanitary and storm sewer be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered
placed on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety.
December 19, 1955, at the hour of 11:00 otClock A. M. G.S.T. is hereby fixed as the,,
;time and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this
City, as the Place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and
consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the construction of'!
,said work shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of this Board before 11:00 o'clock
A. M. C.S.T. of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a
'certified check, cashierts check or bid bond in the sum of 5% per cent of the amount of
his bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publications';
of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the
construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder
shall enclose with his bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond for above
named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned'
at 2;45 P. M.
