HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/14/1955 Board of Public Works MinutesMJ • • • L� SPECIAL T,, EETING September 14, 1955 A Special Meeting. of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with legal notice of hearing on Wednesday evening, September 14, 1955, at 6:30 P.M. C.S.T., relative to improvement by sewers in Bercliffe Estates Addition, under Resolution No. 2814. Members of the Board present were Mr.-R. S. Andrysiak and Mr. I. A. Hurwich. Meeting was opened by Chairman of the Board member, I. A. Hurwich, and Mr. Lud A. Inc., Civil Engineers. Board, R. S. Andrysiak, by introduction of Emelity, representing Chas. W. Cole & Sons, The chairman then proceeded to explain in detail the ten-year Barrett Law finan- cing procedure and the procedure of petitioning for and remonstrating against public improvements, which time for remonstrating will expire September 24, 1955. Following which announcement was made of the front foot estimated cost, pointing out to the assembled home -owners that this estimate represents maximum cost and that competitive bidding will, in all probability, lower the figure quoted. The chairman then opened the meeting for informal discussion and examination of blueprints. There being no further business to come before the Board, hearing was continued, to a later date. Attest: Clerk September 19, 1955 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, September 19, 1955" at 10:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting and also special meetings were read and approved. Salary claims, in.the total amount of 35,310.72, were approved.
