HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/15/1953 Board of PUblic Works Special Meeting Minutes105 SPECIAL MEETING December 15, 1953 Pursuant to action of the Common Council, Monday, December 14, 1953, in approving a bill authorizing the Board of Public Works and Safety to proceed with the soliciting of bids for the construction of the sewage disposal plant and such additional con- stru:ction as required to complete the sewage disposal system, the Board met in special_ session at 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, December 15, 1953. All members were present. l� • After thorough deliberation and consultation, time and date for the opening of bids 1 was determined upon to be 10:00 A. M. Central Standard Time January 2d, 1954, permitting! e thereby the fullest extension of time for the preparation and submitting of bids allowed, under the Indiana Statutes. The publications and dates of publications were deter- j iI mined, in compliance with the statutes governing this type of legal advertising. In compliance with Chapter 319 of the Acts of 1935 of the State of Indiana, the i Board now appoints D. Cole Hayto represent the City of South Bend as a member of a committee to fix and determine the classification of labor, trades, and occupations, and the prevailing wage scales being paid therefor in the city of South Bend. There being no further business to be taken up at this meeting, the meeting • adjourned at 11:00 A. M. Attest: Clerk December 21, 1953 �!
