This Bulletin, issued after award of contract, describes proposed deviations from the contract
documents for the above project. All work shall conform with the standards and intent of the
Contract Documents. Contractor shall submit, in triplicate, an itemized proposal for performing this
work. This Bulletin is not an authorization for making a change.
Bulletin No. 1:
2016 Parking Garage Improvements
South Bend, Indiana
BULLETIN DESCRIPTION:
Omit the through -wall air conditioning units from the Leighton Plaza Parking Structure and add split
systems.
DRAWINGS:
Item #1: Leighton. Plaza Stair Tower I
Sheet: 3 of 5 (Reissued)
A. Omit the two -ton through -wall air conditioning unit.
B. Add infill of the wall opening left by the removal of the existing through -wall air
conditioner with 3" insulated metal panel. The color of the exterior face is to match the
surrounding wall. Install sealant around the entire perimeter. The interior face of the
opening is to be finished with fiberglass faced gypsum board to match the surrounding
wall.
C. Add AC -I and CU-1.
D. Add a new 20A, 2 pole circuit breaker in existing Panel `RPI' for the new CU-1 and
AC-1.
E. Add a new 30A, 2 pole, NEMA 4 fusible safety switch for the new AC-1.
F. Add a new 30A, 2 pole, NEMA 4 fusible safety switch for CU-1.

G. Add "Leighton" to Location column of Air Conditioning Split System schedule.
